Why diet or risk infection from some bypass or liposuction.

The Czech-made Vanquish device uses so called focused-field radio frequency to zap fat without ever touching the patient's body. Only a handful of the devices will initially be available, which means the line for appointments . . .
Although Vanquish heats the skin to 101 degrees, and the underlying fat to 120 degrees, one patient we interviewed says of the treatment that "it just feels warm," like standing in front of a radiator. There can be a few days of mild redness and swelling. Patients are advised to drink plenty of water before and after, which helps the body eliminate the dead fat cells. According to early data from the manufacturer, BTL Aesthetics of Framingham, Mass., there have been no complaints of nerve pain, and no damage to the top and middle layers of skin, hair follicles, muscles or internal organs.
Of 25 patients studied, all had visible results after the first treatment and, after the full course of four sessions, 59 percent of abdominal fat was destroyed, on average, resulting in a two-inch (and in a few cases, a three-inch) reduction in waist size. And because the device kills fat cells, not just the fat within cells, the results should be long lasting. So far, Vanquish is only intended for treatment of the abdomen, love handles, and back fat, at a projected cost of $2000 for four treatments. Two grand for a waist that's two inches smaller? A lot of women will think it's worth it. But some may want to wait for more data, so stay tuned.
My only, only fat pads are around the naval and butt. To obliterate these at the cellular level without surgery sounds enticing. Pass the donuts.

Re: Melt Away Fat
So, you basically lie inside a microwave oven, and fry out the fat...
I wonder....
What can go wrong?
:)
PS. Ok, only joking...

http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2 ... new-brown/
I have a better idea for those who can't simply wait to loose fat
They found the exercise gene that secretes a hormone producing more brown fat.
This in turn improves resting metabolic rate, improves insulin response.
Goodbye being fat forever .
This means I can eat simple starchy carbs again!!!!
NB = Yours truly da foxy.
Expect the hormone Irisin to come into pill suplement factor sometime 2-3 yrs from now hopefully.
Ain't I great
NB = Btw brown adipose fat tissue is lost as we age overtime. Some people who are ridiculously thin are shown to have super high metabolisms due to possesing this type of fat.
River this is it. The anti fat magical elixir hehe:D
(aperture science loves you, this cake is not a lie )

Re: Melt Away Fat
Thin, one of those Brown Fat sorts.
Come to the table with a jacket, by the end of the meal my shirt was open.
Feel the "heat" of it all. Now count carbs <sigh>
This device destroys the cellular structure. Like burst the adipose cells rather then suck them out.
Then one drinks water, water, water, to help the body clean out the cellular residue.
Destroying adipose cells is the key.
Moi
I wonder
if I could just internet on an IPad on my spare tire shaped belly ?

Granted these new liposuction methods involving minimal surgical insertion and laser are way better than the archaic methods of liposuction. The problem Moi is even though you destroyed the fat adipose tissue. It still will come back if your not careful again with your diet.
Fat will come back with a vengeance I garantee you that's for sure.
On the otherhand a recent stride in converting white to beige or brown fat thanks on behalf of the science comunity, isolates the hormone responsible for producing a fat that induces thermogenesis.
It is a natural homeostatic response we feel when we are cold. The brown fat generated melts down the white adipose fat and this in turn keeps us warm during the winters.
Some people are gifted moreso than others and thats why when they eat like tanks theyre unable to get fat easily it seems.(excess energy gets released as heat rather than stored)
Irisin isn't going to be a magical quick fix solution but OMG it's about time it was discovered.
Soon as supplements come out i'll finally be able to reintroduce starchy carbs into my diet.
We need a test subject lol
River we need you!!!!!
NB = wouldn't it be amazing for a 60 yr old for example to have the same amt of brown fat as that of a 12 yr old.
Wouldn't that be something
When it comes out of course we need a test subject

Re: Melt Away Fat
If I remember correctly, you do not make new fat cells.
With aging, those White Fat cells love to bloat up with fat and become steadily more resistant to yielding it.
Destroy the Adipose Cell. Where is the fat gonna go?

http://www.examiner.com/article/here-s- ... nny-on-fat
oh you do generate new fat cells. Its called cellular division
Mitosis?
What I propose instead is not rid of the white fat but use it for fuel as body heat.
A mechanism for staying thin. Irisin simply makes it easier , way easier to convert one fat into another more useful one.
When you were a kid Moi I bet you could have all the sweets you wanted.
I would very much like a return to the days where I could eat whatever the hell I wanted without worry of getting fat.
Even if it means artificially decieving the body into producing this magic fat

http://www.americanrunning.org/w/articl ... se-hormone
Here's some more info on that Irisin hormone(link above)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is of course a natural way to generate brown fat. Though adults don't get much (Irisin will def make it possible to generate more of the stuff)
The normal routine for my daily exercise is 2 or 3 times per week (spaced out)
20 min of stretches, 8 of which are dedicated to crunches.
remaing 20 min are for cardio however not much is spent on max overdrive running.
7-9 min on fast but last 2-3 min are crucial for muscles on overdrive mode. Were talking give it all you got, push yourself to the max. Ignite that flight and fight response mechanism humans have.
Bc cold weather is known to generate brown fat as indicated in article above,
I immediately stop my exercise for the day and take a icy cold freezing shower.hehe
Trust me guys the weight loss here is enormous if repeated. That is of course if you can tolerate polar ice cold showers.
Fuckin hell I scream when I do them but so worth it.
Effect = Heat iradiates from your body. Thermogenesis taking place of course P
NB = Its not how long you exercise but how much of that exercise was spent really pushing your body to the max to stimulate secretion of hormones, neurotransmitters and chemicals that aid homeostasis.
Rule of thumb. Exercise smarter, it's completly unneccesary to overdo it(muscle fatigue and damage otherwise), likewise spending so much time exercising but barely trying.
So small super intense intervals are the key to sucess in melting fat.
My hope is for "Irisin" to come out soon so that I can secrete more of these homeostatic chemicals inorder to shed off weight.
One of my friends since highschool can go through 4 big macs for the day, he barely exercises yet stays thin as a toothpick. I now know why. Nature gifted him with large reserves of brown fat. Its in the genes Moi. It's why I'm so excited for this "suplement" to come out.
I also kinda find it redundant for the human body to store rather than expel excess energy as heat. (The irony is it taxes the liver to produce too much glycogen or starches making us tired) It didn't make sense why for many of us this has become the natural response with what to do with our food but I belive it was the result of a evolutionary adaptation from iceage to the lifestyle we live today.
