iTunes Scrolling

Post by bobover3 (imported) »

Does anyone know how to scroll through the list of your purchases in the latest release of iTunes?

I have 85 purchased items in iTunes, but only 21 are displayed at a time. I can't find any sort of scrolling device or any other way to access the items that are not displayed. In older releases, there was a standard scroll control on the right of the screen, but it's gone now. iTunes help and tutorials have nothing about this. I sent an e-mail request to iTunes Help. They're supposed to get back to me within 48 hours, but you know what that can mean.

So is there an iTunes pro here that can tell me what to do?

I haven't used the new itunes yet.

But scrollbars appear and disappear on my MacBook depending on how many fingers are on the touchpad for nearly all of my applications.

Try clicking on the list and using either up and down arrows or "pgup/pgdn" keys.

Oh, does mouse scroll wheel work on the list?

Yes, I am no expert with iTunes. Seen it once and disliked it... (what? it does not play flac and ogg vorbis files?)

You have got to be kidding, and for this the Apple products are more expensive?

Found the answer with the help of a sympathetic Apple tech. This took me only 2 days to find.

In iTunes' latest release, the screen image is slightly too big for the screens of Windows PCs. If you click on the "box" at the upper right of your screen (the one to the left of the exit X), the image gets a bit smaller, so you can just see the left edge of the scroll bar sticking out. You can use this scroll bar.

The other thing that works is using the cursor control keys (the up and down arrows). First you have to select an item at random. Then you can scroll up and down.

This is all so simple once you know it that it's outrageous it took so long to find the answer. I exchanged 3 e-mails with Apple yesterday, and they couldn't even understand my question.

Glad you found your answer but really, this is another Apple misstep that they will ignore.

This next week I order the parts for my new PC, when I get it all I will let you know.
