injection of depo provera, Does the needle come with it ? And does it come with directions ? I know its a shot (bum) Mussel shot . But how do you know how to give the shot and how much to give ? I would like to try this . And can the left over be kept till the next short is do ?

Okay I don't mean to be unkind but I am going to be blunt; your question demonstrates that you have no knowledge of how to give an injection. While it's a pretty safe procedure if you've been trained on how and where, there are ways to get into trouble if it's done wrong and they can be very serious.

Do not try this on your own without some training.

I have used Depo Provera for over a year. I have used it on and off and so I know how it effects me. Every body and person is different. When I start off with a course of Depo, I always begin with 2 shots equaling 300mg. It takes a few weeks for the shots to take effect, but when they do, the impact is impossible to be aware of. I took 300mg 2 and 1/2 weeks before my 31st anniversary getaway with my wife. I was unable for the entire time to get an erection. We cuddled naked for an hour one morning and I did get a bit of desire based on that as the day progressed. When I felt the need to "get off" because it was an anniversary occasion, I could not get erect, I could not get even the thought of orgasm without a large 12 inch probe massaging my prostate and even then there was no ejaculate or any emission from my penis when I perceived the act to have concluded. My wife was very understanding but did not even take off her clothes to provide this service to me. The bottom line for those taking this medication is this: It will substantiantially effect your sex life for at least 3 months. Keep that in mind as you move forward. I am about to take another 150mg shot of Depo Provera this evening. This will extend my impotence to the end of November. What a concept.
