Twinkies (the real ones) back on store shelves in July

Stand down Twinkies hoarders, you can start eating your secret stash.

Twinkies will hit store shelves nationally by late July, Michael Cramer, executive vice president of Hostess Brands LLC told NBC News on Thursday. "We expect to be making and selling in July," he said. "Probably the later half of the month before the product hits the stores."

All of the classic Hostess snack brands will return, some making their return in August and September. Hostess Donettes and some of the snack cakes will be among the first to return. And "Twinkies for sure," Cramer said.

👅

I hope they are still full of those anti aging preservatives.

They work better then Vit. E ;)

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas is

a natural born citizen having been birthed in Calgary, Canada - Eh?

Senator Ted Cruz R-Tx is, sadly, Constitutionally qualified to run for President.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc ... us/275469/

" . . .

the Congressional Research Service gathered all of the information relevant to Cruz's case a few years ago, at the height (nadir?) of Obama birtherism. In short, the Constitution says that the president must be a natural-born citizen. "The weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion appears to support the notion that 'natural born Citizen' means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship 'at birth' or 'by birth,' including any child born 'in' the United States, the children of United States citizens born abroad, and those born abroad of one citizen parents who has met U.S. residency requirements," the CRS's Jack Maskell wrote. So in short: Cruz is a citizen; Cruz is not naturalized; therefore Cruz is a natural-born citizen, and in any case his mother is a citizen. You can read the CRS memo at bottom; here's a much longer and more detailed 2011

version. "

Tonight, Jon Stewart got it wrong and you heard it at EA first. And YOU thought it was about Senator Cruz 😄

What better place to look for Dark Matter then in a deep, deep hole.

http://news.yahoo.com/experiment-seeks- ... 02626.html

"A new hunt for dark matter — an invisible but bountiful constituent of the universe — is under way inside an underground laboratory a mile and half below Ontario, Canada, scientists report."

I hope they are smart enough not to look with the lights turned on.

NBC News reports

Chris Christie has made the decision to loose weight.

He has had lap band, bariatric surgery.

Weight Led Governor to Surgery

<edit>

Mr. Christie, a Republican, said concerns about his family, not politics, drove him to undergo the “Lap-Band” procedure, in which a silicone band is placed around the stomach to discourage overeating.

<edit>

Saying that “a whole bunch of other things” had not worked, he revealed on Tuesday that he had undergone weight loss surgery three months ago. He is now 40 pounds lighter.

Looks like he is trying to be a more viable presidential candidate at so many levels.

Is he avoiding becoming Corpus Christie before his time ? Oy ! :-|

I know at least three people who had bariatric surgery and it's not easy.

it's not a miracle cure for being overweight. It's tough and hard on the body.

But the people have lost weight.

I wish Christie the best of it.

U.S. to give $100 million more for Syrian humanitarian aid

ROME (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry plans to announce on Thursday that the United States will give an additional $100 million in humanitarian aid for those affected by the Syrian civil war.

According to a U.S. State Department fact sheet, this would bring the total U.S. contribution for humanitarian assistance to $510 million for those suffering from the violence inside Syria as well as the estimated 1.4 million refugees in the region.

The money will be roughly divided up as follows: nearly $43 million for Jordan; $32 million for Lebanon; $9.5 million for Turkey and nearly $16 million to help those inside Syria, according to the fact sheet.

blah, blah, blah edited.

This is a crime against the American people who do without.

How many days would $100 Million buy as a Syrian air space "No Fly Zone". What are y'gonna do about it?

Even today, with chemical weapons declared by the President of Turkey, the most humanitarian action America could take is a forced, "No Fly Zone". Without "air", Assad falls.

I wonder 💡

are those millions for the Syrians tax payer dollars or Bernanke dollars 😄

Why not "gulf state" dollars, Saudi dollars, etc. 😡

Israel Warns Russia Against Syria Arms Sales

JERUSALEM — Israel's defense chief said Tuesday a Russian plan to supply sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles to Syria was a "threat" and signaled that Israel is prepared to use force to stop the delivery.

The warning by Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon ratcheted up tensions with Moscow over the planned sale of S-300 air-defense missiles to Syria. Earlier in the day, a top Russian official said his government remained committed to the deal.

Israel has been lobbying Moscow to halt the sale, fearing the missiles would upset the balance of power in the region and could slip into the hands of hostile groups, including the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, a close ally of the Syrian regime.

Israel has carried out several airstrikes in Syria in recent months that are believed to have destroyed weapons shipments bound for Hezbollah. Israel has not confirmed carrying out the attacks.

The delivery of the Russian missiles to Syria could limit the Israeli air force's ability to act. It is not clear whether Israeli warplanes entered Syrian airspace in these attacks.

<edit>

In any case, an open confrontation between Israel and Russia would seem to be months away. Russian military analysts say it would take at least one year for Syrian crews to learn how to operate the S-300s, and the training will involve a live drill with real ammunition at a Russian shooting range. There has been no evidence that any such training has begun.

If Russia were to deliver the missiles to Syria, Israeli and Western intelligence would likely detect the shipment, and Israel would have ample time to strike before the system is deployed. <edit>

In conclusion, the West arms the rebels and via Cat's paw, denies the government their weapon shipments as,

bad, so very, very bad. Sounds fair to me. 🙄
