I have packaged a Financial Transaction that Will benefit both of us with this last name "Calvo" so when I saw your last name I was pushed to contact you and see how best we can assist each other. I believe it is the will of the Almighty God for me to come across you now, because it is in connection with your last name and you are going to benefit from it. One Mr.Alexander Calvo (now a deceased) who happens to be a citizen of your country had a fixed deposit with our bank in 2004 for 60 calendar months, valued at US$18,400,000.00 (Eighteen Million, Four Hundred Thousand US Dollars). Now his Certificate of Deposit (CD) expired January 16,2010. Sadly, I regret to let you know that Mr.Calvo was among the death victims far back May 27, 2006 Indonesia earthquake in central Java that killed over 5800 people. He was off to Indonesia on a business trip before the eventuality took place. My bank management is yet to discover anything about his death. Mr.Calvo did not mention any beneficiary when the account was created and he was not married and has no children.Last week my Bank Management requested that i should give instructions concerning the renewal of his Certificate of Deposit (CD) with the bank.

Basically, this fund has come to maturity and ready for withdrawal together with the accrued interest. If the bank directors happens to learn that Mr.Calvo is dead and do not have any beneficiary to claim his fund, it will be reverted into the bank's treasury account as unclaimed deposit.Now,I must provide a beneficiary to claim this fund. For this reason,I have no choice but to search for you through his name so as to present you before the bank as the sole beneficiary to late Mr.Calvo. The fact that both of you share the same name has made this transaction executable under a legitimate background. There is no risk involved.

I get those about once every two months now that I put a "verification" on the blog for my stories. BLOGGER was always a little stupid about those things and so the spammers inconvenience everyone else.

On my G-Mail account, I delete them without even thinking about it. G-Mail has a spam folder and depending on the subject line, I might not even open the email before I delete it.

I'm jaded from years of spam and fake offers. I've lost friends who don't keep bank accounts because of some silly reason. THat's another subject of "please don't bother me with your illogic" ...

I buy off Amazon. The rest of the internet can go pound salt as far as I'm concerned.

Hey amazon is pretty good. I purchase my super high end fast memory cards on amazon to avoid cheap chinese knockoff's . which are abundant on ebay and is incredibly easy to get scammed to purchasing the wrong card

once I thought it would be funny to entertain myself on the expense of these spammers and I replied to e-mail. Knowing some background of their system I tried to make myself as ridiculous as possible. despite all of my shortcomings and weirdnesses I seemed to have a lots of money and I pretended to be a lonely guy, an easy target. So, greed blinded my nigerian friends despite I sent them many ridiculous pictures, that normal people should have taken as a sign of danger. At some point a beatiful and young woman tried to seduce me, but then I told I am castrated. Hahahaha... that was confusion for them, but nonetheless they continued to play. Unfortunately I lost the interest, and I wasn't too sophisticated player either. May be during christmas time I have more time to make up stories and find more ridiculous pictures to feed the greed.

my first nigerian scam a while back in march was a fat obese lady who was a princess in uganda. her father was rapidly falling ill and needed to secure her fortunes in the hand of a good samaritan. LULZ

I always take their calls, evince interest and then refer them for more particulars to my bank, Die Standard Bank von Suid Afrika.

There are no end to Nigerian Scams and stopping them is quite nearly impossible, no matter how many laws in how many countries they've violated. They rely on good old fashioned greed and quite successfully. How I wish we could take them as we used to take poachers, to the bank of the Limpopo where they were offered a choice, castration or swim for freedom across the river. Some few actually took the latter choice which we referred to as "chumming". As you will remember the Limpopo is one of the most Crocodile infested rivers in Southern Africa. And, for those who stayed behind, we offered a very clinical denutting, clean, sterile and, of course, a permanent reminder about the fate of poachers. Again, greed overwhelmed good sense. It was not unlikely to catch them again, without their balls they felt we could do no more. However, our laws permitted us to dispose of second time offenders in a manner of our choosing. In other words, off to the river and for those who would not walk in, they were tossed. I miss those days. Of course, there, South Africa, being a homosexual was a hanging offense....possibly why I live here now. Although, like the poachers, I've been castrated although for rather different reasons. PJ
