Pizza Hut Singapore's 'Double Sensation' Pie Is the Most Insane Pizza We've Ever Seen (PHOTO)
The Huffington Post | By Rachel Tepper
Do our eyes deceive us? A new pie from Pizza Hut Singapore features not one, but two rings of crust.
The pizza, aptly named the "Double Sensation," is practically two pies in one. The outermost pizza's crust is stuffed with melted mozzarella, Parmesan and cheddar cheeses that ooze out of holes in the crust, and the outer pie is topped with turkey ham, bell peppers and mushroom and a salsa sauce.
The inner pizza's crust is filled with chicken sausage and cheese, and the innermost pie is topped with smoked chicken, zucchini and a pepper Alfredo sauce.
And to top it all off, there's a cherry in the middle of the whole thing. Don't ask us why.
Sadly for us, this insane pizza to end all insane pizzas only available in Singapore through the end of December. It's being sold for the bargain price of roughly $21.75 for a regular-size 10" pizza and $27.49 for a large 13", and it's also available as part of two Christmas feast deals.
We're at a loss for words. It's like some evil genius combined every over-the-top pizza trend in one, completely unbound by good taste or sense. Why does this monstrosity exist? And can we try it?

I hope not,
There are two types of pizza, thin crust hand thrown New York stile
Deep dish thick pan pizza from Chicago
No matter which one you like these are the only two everything else is second rate.
My favorite is Geno's East Chicago.

Did you look at the picture?
It's obscene the amount of food on that pizza.

What's wrong with obscene? I like obscenity...

Sort of a pizza version of a turducken. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turducken
Turducken is a dish consisting of a de-boned chicken stuffed into a de-boned duck, which is in turn stuffed into a de-boned turkey. The word turducken is a portmanteau of turkey, duck, and chicken.

It looks like crap.. Quantity has no bearing on yumminess...And..check out the sizes..10 inch (what's that..one slice?) and the whopper 13 inch...a serving for one...
If I were in Singapore, (and I was...R&R from VietNam in '67) I'd be eating their yummy pork fried rice...Great stuff (at least it was to a drunken, food deprived, 21 year old soldier in '67)....Thanks Dave (you must be Italian)...Jackie

Re: The most magnificent pizza being sold in the world
Both sides of my family are Italian.
We have a love/hate relationship with food --
"You eat like a pig... You're too thin, nothing but skin and bones..."
"Yes Mother..."
And when I started working summers during High School, I discovered a plethora of wonderful Kosher "counter" restaurants downtown (or as we say "Dahntahn") and ate hot meals of good Jewish food. Turned out they were of the same opinion. "You look so thin, eat." "Don't you like my food?"
Food as love.
Even with my delicate, allergy-ridden stomach, I still make pizza and eat more than I should.
Four relatives came out to remove my sofa and polished off two pepperoni pizza from Vocelli.
Take that pizza into a football party with few beers and a half dozen guys and it's gone in seconds, get two or three and have a blast.
Like I said --

Hey Dave, favorite Pittsbirgh Pizza? Mine's Mineos. Of course growing up in Squirrel Hill made it that much easier.

Re: The most magnificent pizza being sold in the world
best pizza---
My Grandmother's pizza. She lived on the hill above Mancini's Bakery and we used to get the dough for the crust from them...
I know all of the Mancini family.
Last time I tried pizza was in the late 1990's and most places over spice their sauce so it upsets my stomach. That and I'm lactose intolerant which makes the painful cheese thing happen.
I had Mineo's in College years ago and didn't think it was all that great.
I also had a non-fast-food pizza done in a stone oven with a wood fire... Damn that was good even without cheese but they used premium stuff and fresh everything else.
I once had the deep dish in Chicago and wasn't thrilled. That's not my idea of pizza but it was good tasting and filling... more like a pie than a pizza.

Re: The most magnificent pizza being sold in the world
Im more of a crazy bread kinda person. the downside is it goes striaght to my thighs.
Im usually into any pizza that has a crunchy thin crust and isnt very greasy
as for toppings. Spinach, mushrooms and bacon
