It's not that hard to understand that everything, from the largest structure of the universe to the smallest particle or wave in quantum mechanics is explainable by science.

It is not magic, it is not the invisible hand of some omnipotent being, it is nothing more than the interactions of rather bizarre particles and waves.

If you don't accept that they you are no better than the Ancients who worshipped trees and rocks and phallic totems with bloody sacrifices...

The problem of Science, and I am post doctoral educated in Life Sciences -

A-hem, The problem with Science is the plethora of Faith Based Ninnies who spout it and are close minded to alternative, Scientific explanations.

Example.

The Anti Cholesterol Diet effort. Creating trans fats, then banning trans fats, etc.

Any of those ninnies knew that

Cholesterol is manufactured by the body, it is excreted by the body, it is the back bone of many of the bodies hormones and takes part is structure too.

They trained a public to parrot cholesterol like some alien substance that is imbibed. In the 80's, the American Diabetes Association counseled Diabetics to avoid evil beef and eat more pasta.

This is an example we can all relate to.

My other standard example is the poor guy who discovered an RNA virus manufactured DNA in its' replication process. I mean you might have told a Christian there was no Christ for the emotional reception that discovery immediately provoked.

Remember: They could NOT prove Mr. Higg's boson so now they want to make it multiples

The universe may be flat!!!!....You can thank NASA's little device the "WMAP" that was launched a few yrs back.

It measures the cosmic radiation heat density left over by the expansion of the universe.

So how about that theory "the deep freeze of the universe" eh?

As the universe expands Entropy increases. Entropy or the disorder of the universe may expand to such and extent that the universe may become too unstable and collapse onto itself.

We do not know how.

Deep freeze? Possible but recent discovery of neg temperatures exceeding below 0 kelvin does not confirm this to be so.(negative reverse hot temperatures)

What about a big crunch?.....possible. Hawking mentioned that singularities or black holes were neccesary to keep the universe stable. This may be how it's doing it. (by slowing the rate of expansion as best as it can) And at some point when time and space have reached it's "infintesimal limit" all black holes may coverge into one singlar black hole.

Im interested in how they calculated a few months back about how the higgs field may be unstable to begin with and how this corelates with the current rate of expansion of the universe.

Even if your right Moi, The end of the universe is no where near its end. The Universe is still a baby. Keep dreaming for an alpha and Omega. You will be dead before it happens, I will be dead before it happens, the entire human race will be dead before it happens, etc...

The silly irony of this is that it's quite possible that bc of it's instability. No one will be alive to witness the Universe collapse.As such the Universe will be and always will be a great mystery.

To wait for an end to come is speculation of the wrong kind, foolish and pure quackery.

I love how the christian, oh god yes, the chrsitian religions spazz continously with regards to Us "eggheads" about the undescribable punishment that awaits us for our inner curiosity to untap the secrets of existance itself.

Dante's inferno mentions for example that all the brilliant, inventive, philosophically agnostic and atheist will forever be held in limbo. A place of greyness and pure shallowness that is neither heavenly or tyrannical.A void of nothingness. While the obedient and devouted blindly to god will await a fate of rewardness.

I'm sorry but this is exactly the issue I have with religion. It is fear mongering, controlling and oppresive of ones own mind to question the unexplored.

I am a person of great spiritual need to improve what we already have, but I refuse to follow one man, one voice, one path towards righteousness. If anyone understands why I have an issue with following a flock like mentality, the herd, of being a sheeple. This will be it.
