Hey! There's no covert smut in your last post. You've got to hold up your end. I mean present your end. Well, you know what I mean.
Well, I chose NOT to look at your post that way, beings it reminded me of Christmases past. In those days all of the children got a "Christmas piece" to recite in the annual Christmas program... I suppose that one might 'slip' and call it an 'anal' Christmas program... However, (no 'but') anal being in the Freudian sense of 'anal' which means a 'fixation' in that 'anal stage' and it means excess fastidiousness and cleanliness, a need for order and a rule of 'a place for every thing and everything in its' place' and in addition a cleanliness compulsion that results in scrubbing and cleaning to excess.
In today's pop culture it is also known as obsessive-compulsive disorder or 'OCD', stolen from the pages for the (DMSII?) but as with all things it is deeply rooted in Freudian psychoanalytic theory.
Which reminds me of a story that is popular among those well-versed in psychology. Whether it is real or a joke is the stuff of Snope's and I would not take their word for it.
You know, Bob/3, Anna Freud was the daughter of Sigmund Freud and later in her life a great psychoanalyst in her own right. Let us look for a moment into this rumored and legendary dialogue...
One day Anna RUSHED into her father's study in her nightie and exclaimed,
"Father! Father! I ad ze streeengest dreem"
"Und tell me, Anna, Vhat did you dreeem?"
"Father, I dreemed I came to your office, und there you were father, sitting on the floor in a large circle with your colleagues and you were all eating lunch. And father, you had theese beeeg banana, und you said, Anna, vould you like to eat my banana? TELL ME FATHER, vhat does this mean?"
Father Sigmund slowly smiled and then a scowl came across his face and he replied...
"Anna, sometimes a dream is just a dream, and a banana is just a banana..."
