I LOVE these things!

Totally fun to play with. However, DO NOT LET YOUR PETS NEAR THEM (or children). Not good to swallow rare-earth magnets.

I also have a kids building-set made of little plastic spans of various lengths and curves, with rare earth magnets on the ends. One can build some pretty awesome suspended bridges, animal shapes, etc. etc. with them! I got them through Lee Valley Tools.

Yes, yes, yes, I also have a set, they are put away otherwise I can't stop playing with them. I think talula gave them to me just to frustrate the hell out of me. Thanks T.

River

What I really need is a second set or maybe two more sets, then I could really build stuff,

OH what am I saying.

This link was more than worth it for the reference to caganer and parking lot scenes at Philadelphia Eagles home games. I am still laughing so hard that it is hard to type this. Thanks Paolo.

I saw these things and unfortunately was too cheap to buy them when I had the chance.

there a lot of fun. my friends and I build hypercubes and contruct tessellation models with what we have. it isn't much but very true prices are too steep for tiny carbon based fullerines.

here's a new use for harnassing solar energy tehe. Enjoy guys

See, now this is a near-perfect example of gov't regulation run amok. You really should read the story (https://www.getbuckyballs.com/letter-from-ceo/) about Buckyballs' fight with the CPSC in regards to their products.

Buckyballs cooperated in every single way with the CPSC's requests. Bigger/more warnings, marketing the product to adults only, requiring that it be sold in a completely separate part of the store, away from the 'toys' section, forming a medical advisory group, starting a coalition of their competitors to promote magnetic safety, and so on, and so on.....

And then one government organization decided on it's own, that their efforts weren't good enough. The same organization that up until that point, had given the company a complete thumbs' up, and even held the company up as a positive example of what to do to help make consumers aware.
