Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
I had a follow up appointment with my urologist yesterday morning and he gave me the results of the pathology examination of my testicles. Although they both had good blood flow according to the ultrasound scans, the right one was to all intents and purposes dead and the left one was about 75% dead with the rest showing severe inflammation. This proves that the Calcium Chloride injections work and will help to achieve the goal of surgical removal if that is desired. I am very happy that I have had mine surgically removed and I feel better for it 4 weeks down the track.

When my testicles were removed, I had a feeling of elation. Coming up on the one-year anniversary of my castration this month, I still have this same feeling.micdavi24 (imported) wrote: Thu Apr 10, 2014 4:28 pm I am very happy that I have had mine surgically removed and I feel better for it 4 weeks down the track.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
It's now been over a week since my second round of injections. This time I was only in extreme pain for about 6 hours which surprised me.
Anyway, now the swelling and tenderness has reduced. One testicle feels no pain whatsoever when I squeeze it between my fingers. The other still has some feeling, but dramatically less than when healthy.
It'll be interesting how much they atrophy over the weeks, and whether a third round of injections is needed.
As I've been on anti-androgens and E injections it's hard to determine the impact on T production. But hopefully I've done enough this time so I can stop the AA's and their size decline dramatically.

I would go and see a urologist and in all likelihood he/she will remove them surgically, which will mean that your T production would only be that which is produced by your adrenal glands, which is so minimal it doesn't count as this is where the T in a woman's body comes from. My urologist took one look at my scans after my second round of injections and told me they should be removed, which they duly were on 03/15 this year.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
I have a question: I currently taking Spiro. Two months passed since my CaCl2 injection (1cc of 30% in each), I am planning to visit my family doctor and request to see an urologist. I have no idea what tests they might order on me, but should I stop taking Spiro? I am afraid that it will show on tests and will alarm them.
If you have any suggestions about what I should tell doctor in order to push him in the right direction, that would be helpful as well. Thank you!

My advice from personal experience is tell the doc that you have had pain and swelling off and on for years and that the pain is pretty constant, ranging from an almost permanent 2/10 with occasional spikes going up to 8/10 and these spikes can last from 1 hour to a week or more and are generally accompanied by swelling as well.
I would suggest that you quit the Spiro just in case it shows up in the blood tests and it may be an idea to do a second injection about a week before you go to see the doc, so they are nice and swollen when you see him and then emphasize your pain and request he have an ultrasound scan done as well as a blood test for your testosterone levels and also a referral to a urologist. Maybe you could check the yellow pages in your area and see whether there is a female urologist in your area and ask your doc to refer you to her, as women tend to be more pragmatic about removing testicles whereas male urologists tend to shy away as for most men, their male identity is very much tied in with their testicles and the idea of losing them horrifies them.
I followed a similar route, but since I have had testicular pain for years due to a vasectomy and just wanted them gone, I had not been on any androgen blockers. I first approached my doc claiming impotence and he did a blood test and found my T levels were virtually at castrate level anyway. About 2 months after this, I did my first CaCl2 injection ( the day before Christmas) followed 2 weeks later by another injection. I had scans done a week after the first injection and again 10 days after the second injection. I also made a visit to my local ER 2 days after the second injection and when I went to see my urologist, I took all the test and scan results as well as the ER report along to him and I did not even have to plead my case, he heard my story, took a look at both sets of scans and told me that they had to come out. They were remover on 03/15 this year.
Good luck

I deleted my previous post because it was confusing.
I was given my Testosterone serum levels in nmol/L and the norm is in ng/dl. Because it was so low I thought it was free testosterone. It is all a bit confusing but here is a really good T convertor: http://www.endmemo.com/medical/unitconv ... terone.php
I will post the actual levels and some more info soon
