Guys, here is some very important updated research information from Parsemus Foundation (where we got the idea of calcium chloride castration form)

The key points is that they compared mixing it with alcohol, saline and lidocaine and found that alcohol was the preferred base as it more certainly achieved affect after 1 year, achieved effect faster (1 month versus 2), and had less swelling.
Also, they give the specific recipe for their recommended mix using high proof alcohol (they mention Everclear or other high proof drinking alcohol as being acceptable base).
They give specific amounts based on the width of your testicle. I've copied the guidelines below
Guideline for dosage per testicle:
Testicular Width Dose per testicle
10-14 mm 0.25ml
15-18mm 0.5ml
19-22 mm 0.8ml
23 and above 1 ml
For larger testicles, dosage is not determined. Koger (1978) reported 2 ml of 30% calcium chloride per testis in
an 85-pound Golden Retriever and that “in cattle, results so far indicate that doses of 1.0-2.5 ml per
100 lb. (45 kg) body weight are effective, depending on individual variation.” Recent pilot studies in
California in goats (which have very large testes) found 4 mL to be insufficient even after multiple
injections; eventually 10mL was used and was effective.
They give advice on the injection technique (especially whether to withdraw during the injection) -- conclusion from research is that it is best to try to inject full amount in center of testis rather than trying to distribute it.
