Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
Hello micdavi24 Thanks for the tip on Methyl Salicylate. I will definitely look out for this when the bottle arrives. You are right, this Ethyl Alcohol 96% was bought on eBay and is coming from Portugal - it was the only one for sale on the UK site. I am still not quite sure how to mix the cac12 33% with the Ethyl Alcohol 96% to get 2mls of 20% for injection. It looks like we are going to be doing this about the same time. Good luck.
SilviaCor thanks for your suggestion about doing this only once. It was just that with not having the Ethyl Alcohol yet, I was impatient to start. I will wait until the Ethyl arrives - it was promised in 5 working days and therefore should be here before Christmas. Just the one injection and then wait at least a month to see the results. I genuinely am still confused as to how to get the 2 mls at 20% I cannot work out your calculation. Somewhere in this long thread, I am sure that someone has done the calculation in a way that I can understand. In any case, I will read the whole thread again to see. Surely, however you mix the two liquids of 33% and 96%, unless you add water, it is impossible to get an average of 20% ???
If the desired 20% is 0.6 x 33% then I assume that if I treat the alcohol like water, I need to mix in the proportions 6 parts CACL 33% to 4 parts Ethyl Alcohol 96%. I think that should be right.

SilviaCor (imported) wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:49 pm Hello micdavi24, if i were you i would use a higher concentration of cacl2, at least 20% how is showed in some studies in animals, because perhaps with 15% is not enough to shutdown they.
Good luck with the injections, and if you can obtain an ethylic alcohol like everclear or so, it would be better because the concentration will be properly (is my opinion only).
Hi Silviacor, I would love to get my hands on a higher concentration of ethyl alcohol, but unfortunately I can't get anything stronger than vodka with a 40% alcohol content. That is the highest sold in Australia to my knowledge, all out spirits here are 37% alcohol. If I could figure out a way to dry the vodka to enhance the ethanol content without adding other chemicals to the mix, I would do this. I also figure that when I boil the CaCl2 in the microwave, I will lose a fair bit of water, so maybe I will add less vodka to the mix, so the concentration will be nearer to the 20% mark, seeing that I will be starting with a 30% concentration.
I really want this to work and am really excited about doing the injections. Like I said before, I will wait for a month or maybe 2 and monitor the results and if necessary will do another injection. I am sure that this will do the trick. I have lived with my PVPS for so long that I am prepared to wait a few months to get the desired result, which is to degrade the testicles to the stage where a urologist will quite happily remove them.
I have heard that female urologists are not quite so sticky about removing a man's balls as male urologists are. I know of one here in Sydney, but have lost her details. I guess I will have to try a Google search to see whether I can find her that way as I have lost contact with the guy who told me about her.

micdavi24 (imported) wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2013 7:21 am My motivation for wanting castration is a bit different to all the other guys who have gone before me so far. I suffer from PVPS(post vasectomy pain syndrome) and have for the past 15 years. I have consulted a few different docs about this problem and also seen 2 urologists. I have also done extensive research on the internet about my condition and so far have discovered that there is only 1 treatment that is 100% effective and that is castration. The first urologist was a complete idiot in my estimation as he told me the pain was not in my balls but in my back. He prescribed some pills which did not help at all, so I never went back. About 6 months later another doc referred me to one of the top urologists in Sydney, who sent me for an ultrasound and prescribed some anti inflammatories and antibiotics. I felt that given time I could have got him to the pint where he would actually remove my balls for me, but due to the shifts I was working at the time, I could not schedule another appointment for at least 6 months and by the time I could get time off to see him, he had retired, so it was back to square 1.
My current doc is very sympathetic to my desires and if he could, would perform the surgery for me. I also consulted him about low libido and it was found that my T levels were barely above castrate level, so he has put me on a supplement which has cured that problem nicely. Strangely since going onto the supplement my left ball has shrunk by around 50% and the right one by about 30%. I am due for an ultrasound again on Friday. I found out about this method of castration on another of my research resources and joined specifically to view this thread, where I have gleaned very valuable intel which has decided me to proceed.
I have ordered my CaCl2 over the net as well as my syringes and needles and will get the vodka on either Thursday on my way to work or on Friday morning when I come back from my ultrasound.
I will post regularly to update all on my progress up to and including the removal of my balls. My wife is with me all the way on this and has also suggested that I try to get my scrotum removed either at the same time as my balls or else a bit later on. My research has also convinced me that this is the intelligent thing to do as from what I read, an empty sctrotum in hot weather can be a real pain and very uncomfortable.
Ok guys wish me luck in my journey and I will update regularly.
I'm a little confused about your motivation here. Most guys who have testicle pain (post vasectomy or otherwise) are not interested or particularly keen to get fully castrated, and if they did would not go for a smooth scrotum-less look. Also you mention being naturally at low testosterone levels and that you're on
It sounds to me that you are also interested in being castrated and smooth, which is fine, but that it is not just about the pain but more about the look?
This is important to figure out because frankly I'm not sure that CaCl is a good method for someone wanting to manage pain. CaCl itself is quite painful during the initial few days. Afterwards, the testicles lose most if not all feeling, however, I am not at all certain that it will resolve a post-vasectomy related pain.
So, if you're also keen on being castrated for its own merits, then go ahead and do what you are planning to do. However, if you're doing this only because you think it will resolve your pain, be very cautious -- it is entirely possible that it will make your pain worse, maybe permanently.
Take care.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
Hello all,
A few of comments from a guy who is well on the way to castrated:
Mixing CaCl, either with water or ethyl alcohol, may result in a mixture that is quite concentrated unless you prepare it in a container that may be boiled without fluid loss, such as a sealed injectible mixing vial.
Further, if mixing with alcohol, you'll vaporize the alcohol with exposure to the air as you heat. Again, your container needs to be sealed.
A month is probably not going to be long enough to determine if your castration has been successful. I'm at just over three since a single injection and, while my balls continue to shrink, they're not done yet.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
Ok SplitDick, let me put it this way, when you have lived with a pain that averages a 3-4/10 almost constantly, sometimes spiking to around 7-8/10, then the pain from this injection will not be a put off. My ultimate goal is to have them surgically removed, so a little pain for a short time in order to achieve the greater goal is quite acceptable. Like I have said before, I have done a lot of research on this matter, just Google orchalgia and you will find a raft of info. In all my research, the only 100% effective treatment for this condition is castration. The next best thing is vasectomy reversal with about a 35% success rate. I actually know someone who went this way and he is tremendously happy with the end result. I am originally from Cape Town and had my vasectomy there. I was done in a free vasectomy clinic early one morning. There were about 12 of us done that day. I got chatting to one of the guys while we were waiting our turn and we stayed in contact later on. He had the same problem till he was castrated about 5 years ago. Initially he retained his empty scrotum, but within 6 months found it to be so uncomfortable in hot weather that he had it removed. He is the one who actually finally talked me into deciding to go this route and he also advised me to have my scrotum removed. I had considered implants after castration, but they are darned expensive and would not be covered by my health insurance, so I discussed my options with my wife and decided that if I were to be castrated, I would have my scrotum removed as well, since my insurance will cover this. I will say that after I found some pics online of men with their scrotums removed, both my wife and I are pretty enthusiastic about the idea from both an aesthetic as well as practical perspective.
I do realise that I am in for a few days of intense pain, but am prepared for this to move toward the greater good. I am very positive about doing this and am very impatient for Friday to roll around. On another note, did your balls regenerate or did they finally die off. I know you say that you regretted doing this as soon as it was actually done. In hindsight, how do you feel about it now and how has your wife reacted to the changes.
r1honour,I worked in the bakery coatings industry for many years and worked with many aromatic hydrocarbons as well as alcohols of different types. I am aware that Ethanol boils at 76°C, so I will not add that to the CaCl2 while it is still hot. The boiling of this is to concentrate it a bit and to get rid of any possible bugs in it, The hyper concentrate should then be high enough to preclude any microbial life and the vodka, which is the strongest alcohol that I can lay my hands on here in Sydney is the only viable alternative to pure ethyl alcohol, hence another reason to concentrate the CaCl2 solution, since the water in the alcohol will dilute the CaCl2 as well. I wish I had the facility to dry the vodka to remove all the water content in it, but I don't have access to a facility to do this.
Ok guys, any and all comments and advice from those who have gone before me will be greatly welcomed.

One other bit of info, I have read each and every post on this thread from the very beginning as I wanted to be as informed about my decision as possible and to hear about everyone's experiences any potential problems that I might face and overall, my impression has been very positive, so I am definitely going ahead on Friday.

The Ethyl alcohol and Cacl2 have water. The first, a 4% (the 96% is alcohol) of it is water and the sum of both is 100%. With cacl2 is the same, in your case 30%, this 30% is cacl2 and the rest to reach the 100% is water ( i mean, the 70% is water in your bottle of cacl2). The , the final amount of concentration of each sustances will be: 20.4 of cacl2, 30.7 of E.A and 48.9 of water (if you do the mixture that i said). Ok, if splitDik or other user can corroborate my suggestion, it would be better.

That makes sense to me. Thanks for laying it out so clearly. I found a remark in a post from 2003 that said DO NOT use denatured Ethyl Alcohol. I checked the details of the bottle I am waiting for and it said partly denatured. Not knowing what this meant, I looked it up on Wikipedia and it is "additives" to stop people using this as a cheap form of drink ie "tax-free" alcohol. Does anyone have any ideas about this.

I am also having second thoughts about 2 mls in each testicle. Mine are quite small and maybe this is too much? 1 ml. would be better???? Your advice really would be appreciated. I am all geared up to go as soon as the Ethyl Alcohol arrives in the post.

antoniafrancesca, I would be very careful about using that stuff. Have a good look at the bottle as soon as it arrives and check the contents label. If the additive Methyl Salicylate is mentioned there, do NOT use it. I would suggest running each and every additive through Wikipedia just to check the possible effects on a human body.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration
If there is anything nasty in the stuff, rather use as high proof vodka as you can find and adjust the formulation accordingly. I agree with you if your testicles are small, rather go with 1cc in each. Mine are also pretty small, L is about 20mm long by 12mm in diameter and R is about 25mm by about the same diameter
