This board is for all of the above, and for all of the motivations. Trans-women like myself are actually a minority here.
OK, imagine that you wake up tomorrow morning and find that you have a beautiful pair of C-cup breasts on your chests. But you still feel inside that you are a man and wish to remain a man. Then you are told that these breasts will never go away and will remain on your body for the rest of your life.
Would you seek surgery to have these breasts removed? Would you even be willing to spend $10,000 to remove them so you could once again have the flat manly chest that you used to have?
I've spent more than that just to have my beard removed. By this time next year, I may have no contact with my own mother or anyone else related to me by blood, because I would give them up just so I can live in a body that conforms to my sense of self. This is because I am a woman who was born into a male body, so facial hairs, a penis, testicles, and the male hormones they produce just don't fit my self image. Removing my testicles cost only a fraction of that, but I too would pay $10,000 to remove my penis for the same reason you would remove breasts if they were to magically appear on your chest while you sleep tonight.
If you were born with a female body, but the exact same mind and exact same way of thinking that you have now, I think you would want to remove your ovaries so you don't have female hormones in your body. Because like the rest of us, you have a certain sense of self. A few people are unfortunately born with something that differs from our inner sense of self.
