Inguinally is good I think. Having had one done each way. For pain issues iguinally is best.
I was fine 2 days after the one done inguinally. The scrotal method was several days. I think there is more swelling etc that way. Also the scrotum never really stops moving.
With the inguinal method, I was OK after three days enough to no longer have to take pain killers but then i had a hernia repaired too at the same time; still slow moving and having to be careful what I lifted, but no unexpected long term problems. Ice on the abdomen to control swelling was necessary for about a week afterwards, not all the time but in the afternoon and when retiring for bed. I'm happy that it was done this way since the cords were removed too and I have no residual problems.
