Well, during those exceptionally cold nights, those few nights each year when it might hit 20f outside or slightly lower.... on those nights....
I consider maybe closing the window.
I am surprised that you use degrees Fahrenheit. Mike Holmes (a Canadian who has two TV shows, Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection) usually (or always) uses degrees Celsius. I do not think I have ever heard a homeowner on his show use degrees Fahrenheit. I thought all Canadians use degrees Celsius.

Well, I am hardly described as a homeowner, but I do take into consideration that most of my friends are Americans, so I like to convert to units that they will feel more comfortable with. Makes things easier. For instance, right now it's 18.6C out, which is still perfect shorts weather, as far as I'm concerned. (And still around 26C in my room, which means the fan is still going....)

When I was in the 5th grade, I remember my teacher (she was about 200 years old) skipping over the new metric texts we were to learn. She said no one would ever use it, it will never catch on. So we skipped it. Well, now things like degrees C and centimeters mean nothing to me. The only metric measurements I know are photo paper, because it's a Japanese made machine that I work with every day.

Was that in the Fall Semester?

Re: Autumn
I think I like autumn and spring equally. Both are just the right temperature for me, somewhere in the 50-60 range where I can wear long pants without sweating but don't have to put on a jacket yet either, I barely have to run the heat in the house because the temperature is just right already, and a nice hot shower in the morning is just the right thing to put me in a good mood rather than making me sweat. I love fall for the pretty leaves, but I also love spring for the pretty flowers.
I supposed I tend to feel better in the spring because usually it's when the sun is just coming out for the first time after 3+ months of nonstop grey dreariness, and those first few days where the sun comes back always make me feel just absolutely fantastic. I feel like running around and singing "Here Comes the Sun" everywhere because it puts me in such a good mood. Plus there's cute little baby forest critters all over the place! I love em, I love em, I love em! (✿◠‿◠)
I do have a bit of a past history of fall being bad, though, despite loving the weather. For some reason, October is always when I have my biggest personal identity issues. I don't know what it is about that month, but for some reason every October, like clockwork, the feminine side of me suddenly explodes to the surface, to the point that I get painfully frustrated over it, where usually it's just kind of there but not enough to really bother me. But for some reason October is always the worst in this regard. In addition to that, I used to have fall allergies almost every single year as well, getting a sinus infection at this time every year back in high school, but that's been much less of a problem since I moved back to Ohio. So I guess I have to go for spring, just due to circumstantial events, but I really do love fall too.

No, I think that it was the WINTER of YOUR discontent... (http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/33325-i ... -at-all-my)
It must be terrible to have sight and never to see...
