I completely agree. The only thing that interested him is the money from the sale of the book. He does not care at all for the safety of his colleagues or his country. Not care about the truth. If it were about the truth, were countless ways to publicize it. But it is only about money, nothing else.

I would never give money on a book written by such a man. And I would not trust what he says. The pay would make me an accomplice and encourage others to follow the path of betrayal for money.

I apologize if I'm a little harsh, but think about how it would be if everyone with occupations that involve secrets begin to publicize them in books.

I really think you are over reacting as we still don't know all the facts about this. I am going to venture a guess that the government has already looked at and approved its content ie no secrets given away. I personally don't like this but I am willing to wait, you should too.

I rant and rave a lot, but as YOU realize, you cannot give these types of people an even break. River is too good. I am NOT usually and tend to be paranoid by nature... or perhaps it is only existential angst...

I took into consideration that my paying for the book could be supporting it and the author, but without reading it, I can't properly judge whether it should be condemned or not. I'm a little better than a third through it, and I will say that so far, I haven't seen him give away any secrets or compromise the Seals. What he has revealed about tactics so far is nothing I wouldn't have figured out from using common sense. I have a way to go, so I can't yet pass judgement on it. I'm one, however, that doesn't allow others to make up my mind for me, whether it's the government or members of this board. Once I've read the book I'll decide whether or not to condemn or praise the guy for writing it.

From what I've heard of the guy, I don't agree with his politics, but none of that has been introduced - so far - into the book. He's an NRA kind of guy, the son of a missionary father who grew up in a mostly Indian village in Alaska. I wouldn't expect him to like Obama. He criticized Washington as being slow to act on their missions, but I see that as blaming Washington not Obama or a particular political party. All military men resent civilian interference in their missions.

Of course, I'm one that thinks Bradley Manning is getting a bad deal. I'm for more not less government transparency.

Yes, it is an interesting point. It may be right. If we find the truth or not, it's another story.

I do not care anyway about Osama's death. What intrigues me is the lack of confidence in those who should keep the secrets safe.

I would agree if they made public serious wrongdoing, but in other circumstances can not agree with turning state secrets into personal money source.

I finished this book,and I didn't see that any State secrets were revealed; nor were any classified Seal techniques revealed. One could see similar techniques used in any action movie about Seals. They might not like that he wrote the book, but they'll have a hard time proving he revealed any State secrets. This is much ado about nothing.

I don't particularly like this guy. He's too right wing for me, but other than a few discourteous comments about Obama, he didn't inject too much politics into the story. Other than how Usama was shot, there is really nothing new to the story. He poked his head out and one of them put a bullet through it. The author and another Seal pumped several more slugs into him while he lay twitching on the floor.

The author says he's donating the profits to a fund that helps the families of Seals KIA.

As usual, people are running their mouths before they know the facts.

I had herd he was donating the money from the book but did not know where, I am glad to hear that it is a book a lot to do about nothing.

For that he gets a pass.
