The story only gets better. I could almost taste the "feast." The writing is compelling and sucks you right into the story. You can hear the characters, smell the environment, taste the foods. I hope Pueros doesn't take us on a tour of the sewer at some point. Pueros commented to me once that his model was Robert Graves. I've read all of Graves. Pueros is clearly there!

One of my hobbies if Roman history of exactly this period. So far I have found nothing that is not historically accurate. While I can't see any university historian assigning this story in a course, students could clearly get a fine feel for the period by reading it.

Great job. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.
