400 saints castrated at Dera Sacha Sauda, notice to Haryana government

Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda has been accused of making over 400 saints impotent. The court has directed the Haryana government to submit reply.
Dera Sacha Sauda, which are mostly in disputes, has once again embroiled into controversy when, a petition was filed in Punjab and Haryana High Court , claiming that at least 400 saints have been castrated (http://english.samaylive.com/tag/%20castrated) by the Sauda.
The High court on Thursday have issued a notice to Haryana government, SP of Sirsa and Fatehabad and CBI and directed them to submit their replies by October 10.
The petition has been filed by Hans Raj Chauhan of Fatehabad district and seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident.
Castrated on the name of God
According to the petition, the saints who were living at Dera were castrated (http://english.samaylive.com/tag/%20castrated) on being promised enlightenment ahttp://english.samaylive.com/pics/dera1.jpgnd made them believe that they could achieve God through Dera head Gurmeet Ram Rahim in case they offered themselves for castration.
Around 400 saints have got them operated in the belief of achieving God by this means. The petition was also filed by one of the saints who have been castrated.
According to the petition, Hans Raj, who has been associated with Dera Sacha Sauda since 1990, said that due to castration his life has become hell.
He said that the incident happened in 2000 and he along with 20 other saints have been castrated (http://english.samaylive.com/tag/%20castrated) by making them believe that they could achieve God and now they have to face humiliation at the hands of general public.
Saint commits suicide
The petition also said that a saint (http://english.samaylive.com/tag/%20saint) Vinod Kumar committed suicide after the incident at Sirsa court complex and the autopsy report of Kumar confirmed castration.
Hans Rraj Chauhan claimed that around 400 saints whio have been operated are still living at the Dera Sacha Sauda.
On the other hand, Dera Sacha Sauda said that Hans Raj Chauhan left the Sauda five years back and all the allegations are unfounded and baseless.
