Post by sduyck_2000 (imported) »

THE PRESIDENT came into town today

flew in at noon ...said to my self what a smart guy coming in at a non rush hour

i take it all back now...he decides to leave at 5 o-clock and backs all the freeways up

people have been parked in 80 degree heat for a hour now..some without ac...some angry voters were made today...could have waited 3 hours and left after everyone was home

Aw Boo Hoo.

My Aunt lived across the street from the United Nations in New York City.

You want diplomatic troubles? 500 feet from her front door was the area set aside for demonstrations.

I only heard her complain once when they literally removed the mailboxes and trash can from the streets to let Reagan visit the UN.

That was the only time she ever said anything and we all had a good laugh about exploding garbage back in the mid 80's.

If that bothered you, you should have been living in St Louis when Pope John Paul II came for a visit, they closed about 15 miles of two freeways for the pope mobile.

The real problem is that the Portland freeways suck. It takes me an hour to get across town, from the south over the bridge to Washington state, even if I leave home by 2 PM.

So you expect the President to sit on his ass wasting 3 hours, so he doesn't tie up traffic in Portland? Maybe he has something better to do. As it is, one can spend better than two hours going across town at rush hour with nothing special happening. I don't see you bitching about the guy that has an accident and ties up traffic even longer.

Does anyone else think you're looking for something to bitch about, as long as the subject is Obama or the Democrats?

When romney comes to portland and does the same thing I will update my complaint

i dont care who does it....i will complain about romney as well just to be fair

I had a semi load of barley get hung up on its way to columbia grain because of the tie ups

it cost me time and money so a politician can come to town and collect a few bucks from rich people that can afford 35000$ a plate to sit down with the president

i would never spend that much to sit down with anyone

i was not the only one unhappy ..i was listening to the radio on the combine to talk radio as many stuck in traffic called in complaining being stuck in the heat

Politicians dont give one wit about our jobs...they screw up our days..and our jobs..as they talk about jobs and making our lives better

they all are a bunch of hypocritical jerks

just consider this is me carrying my protest sign

yes slammer i expect the president to sit for 3 hours..he is a president...not a king..or a pope

River DEAR 🤗 💋

This was not an act of DOG. It was man made with full fore thought.

Obama does the same in West LA. Luckily, the grid of freeways can adapt.

Or I am not around to be effected.

Why? 💡 Doesn't the President Helicopter hop more?

It is not like he is a motorcade with waving people along the highway.
