Not only is there no hit counter in the new story format, there is no link to the author's email.

No one posts to the forum, except for a circle jerk of about a half a dozen people, so you might as well leave your story in Microsoft Word for all the recognition you'll get here.

I appreciate the effort to update the archive but I am disenchanted with the lack of concessions to an author's needs. It's not that easy, trying to create a world and a compelling story. Why bother if you get no feedback?

Sure, you have an archive of 10,000 stories. Don't expect many more if you don't up your game.

I really don't appreciate this attitude. We are doing all we can to rebuild and update the archive. Do we have a long way to go? Yes. Do we deserve to be talked to like this. NO.

I think you need a little time off to think about your comments.

You know, ASSTR and some sub-pages of it have very nice feedback forms, all handled by a moderator. I have several stories there. One can send me email easily.

Do I get much?

No.

More than here, in the past, yes. But still...just goes to show that no matter what you put in place, almost no one is going to use the feedback system.
