Any idea how close are we to having a fix on the rating system? Do we even know what the problem is yet? There's a lot of stories that I want to give proper star ratings to, plus I have a few stories of my own that I'm ready to post, so I'm just curious...

Remember, If you are reading these stories, and would like to see them continue, please, give them a review. Reviews are the only payment the authors receive. If you want to reward them, and keep them writing, you need to give them an incentive.

Start a new thread, and post a short review. You can't know how much that means to the authors. If you are creative, make a suggestion to the authors. Tell us how you see the stories playing out. Just a few short words will do. I know there are a lot of people reading these stories. Someone must have something to say about them. Anyone?

You are welcome. And thank you. You may be the only person interested in reading the darn thing though. I'm starting to feel as though I'm wasting my time on it. I've had a few comments, but I had hoped for more. Thank you to those few folks who have had something to say about it.

I'm sure the other EA authors are feeling the same as I am. There are far too few comments for the effort. 456 different users have checked into this thread since it started, and only a handful have commented on any story. It is disheartening.

Hell. If you hate a story, and bothered to tell me, that would be something. Just knowing someone is reading is enough to keep me writing.

Please, fellow members, if you are reading this, post a few words about a story you like. Post a few words about a story you don't like. Anything. Just give feedback.

If no Authors write, because they think no one cares, then there will be nothing to read.

Please, just post something. It means a lot to us.

There are currently no new stories submitted, and ready for publication. Zero, zip, nada.

I suspect that a lack of feedback is disheartening more than a few folks. If you want the archive to continue you need to give the authors an incentive.

I rarely read many stories now days. Not a lot of time available anymore.

I have submitted some of my own, and was very pleased to get feedback. It made the effort worth it. It does take a lot to write stories; it doesn't take much to say "Thanks."

While I basically share the feeling, I will counterpoint the above portion of this thread, briefly, as it's horribly late and I MUST sleep;

Guys, lack of feedback sucks indeed, and I know my few points will ring hollow, but they honestly work for me;

- People, even decent folks, being unthinking and basically selfish partly due to modern soud-bite media, simply don't tend to thank people for what they see as 'free content' online. It's a special person that sends an email or makes a post; special to the point of .1%, generally.

- Yep, thats one in a thousand. That's about my response rate, although it depends (one of my stupidest stories EVER on a different site generated tons of feedback).

- What I've done is feed my ego via hit-counts, and stars/favorites/likes etc. as a secondary boost. If a story of mine gets a thousand hits, I feel utterly FAMOUS, even if nobody writes.

- Any response, even one, makes me feel awesome. I dunno... am I too easy to please? Probably.

- I do try to write feedback fairly often, and I think I do so kinda/sorta regularly here, but I certainly do fall behind and because I want to be honest about it, I admit I don't give feedback to stories that I'm uninterested in, even if I read it. But I can always do better . Look out for new threads of thanks from me this weekend.

- Also, weekends! Never feel gyped about feedback until a full weekend passes with it being on the 'recent added' area. Loads of readers don't check the site, or if they do, just a quick perusal until the weekend. I never expect feedback until after a weekend post posting .
