He is out of the ICU in a hospital room with a telephone.

Unable to speak because of the trach, someone answered for him

and by agreement held the phone for him to listen.

I said he should check in at EA and all the concern

AND it was wonderful to be able to speak when he could not.

The attendant said "it" got a smile.

PM me for the direct to his room phone number and enjoy

being able to have a one way communication with him while one can.

I mean, what would you do for an Ex-BFF.

I don't know Bob well enough to call him personally, but I am glad to hear he is doing better. He was giving us quite the scare for a while there. And thanks Moi, for keeping us posted.

Bob3 Ex-BFF telephoned after I left a message at the nurses station.

I am not the best, or even a very good therapeutic listener.

He needs someone to commiserate his miserates.

No internet, can't talk much with trach, financially & work deadline struggling so

My hunch is, , he is in for a long, long recovery. And an expensive one.

The phone numbers have been dispensed to two members upon request.

The EA Nation expects a full report upon successful contact and each occurrence there after.

He is bored out of his skull. No internet.

PM for numbers. If no answer at the bedside, call the 5000 number and ask for his nurses station and leave a message there. That's how I got his call back after lots of no answer events.

BTW I suspect a long convalescence and slow recovery like deja-vu.

Financial worries big time.

Call it my 'ethereal powers' that transcend logical knowing. Bob3 Ex-BFF knows them.

I just spoke briefly with B-3. He was waiting for yet another medical test – this one to see if he can finally get off intravenous and have "real" food again. He said that he was actually looking forward to hospital food. He's bored out of his mind since there's little to do other than sleep or watch TV. He has no possible computer access until he's out of his current part of the hospital.

Keep the good thoughts flowing his way.....
