OTC/non-prescription anti-androgen in the US?
Hey all,
Just wondering if any of you all know a non-prescription anti-androgen. I definitely like the idea of castration/nullo aesthetically and practically, but I'm not sure about hormonal effects (i. e. whether or not to pursue HRT) and would like to do a short trial then give it a lot of thought.
Best,
J.

Don't waste your time with herbal BS or other OTC methods drugs that have a minor side effect of libido or impotence problems. You may damage your liver or other parts of your body taking such things at high enough levels to get the result you are looking for and you still may not get what you are looking for. If you want to know what it feels like to have no T in your system, take a real T blocker and see what it's really like. Save yourself a lot of time and money and go somewhere like www.inhousepharmacy.biz and order the real stuff and be done with it.
Spiro or androcur will do the trick just read up on it here on the archive and whatever you do, DO NOT underestimate the very real threat of depression as it is probably one of the most lethal side effects of chemical cstration.

Heya, thanks for the reply. Great info. I'm looking for as little feminization as possible, which of the medicines that you mentioned do you recommend?
I don't think I made myself quite clear; you are totally right about herbal quack stuff.

As for feminisation, a usual warning applies: Your Mileage May Vary. You will probably get some in process anyway.modernist (imported) wrote: Tue May 08, 2012 9:58 am Heya, thanks for the reply. Hey, I'm considering 50mg Androcur and 10-20mg Tamoxafin daily. Any thoughts? Is it true that I need to start with a larger dosage of androcur to see any effects?

If you have never tried an anti-androgen, you might consider something that will be a little "gentler" in its ability to lower your testosterone. My advice is to start slow and to not be in a rush to reach castrate levels. You may notice favorable results without going all the way down to castrate levels. And you should definitely monitor your liver enzyme levels with androcur. It can cause serious liver damage.

What would you recommend?
You might consider depo provera. Take one 150mg injection every 3 to 4 weeks. If it is even remotely possible, please consider working with a professional. But if you cannot and still want to proceed, make sure you read the contraindications and understand the risks. For example, depo provera can increase your risk of things like DVT. So if you are middle aged and a smoker, or you are at a higher risk for DVT it might be unwise to proceed with the injections.
