I'm still a bit surprised that the doctor would castrate a 21 year old, but you obviously showed them that you were aware of your decision and they felt comfortable. Honestly, I'm a bit envious at the moment.

I would be interested in hearing how your life as a eunuch goes. You're now the only eunuch near my age (I'm 20) that I know of.

I've long desired to suppress my libido, involuntary erections, nocturnal emissions, and make it so that it doesn't hurt when I cross my legs the wrong way. I'm not sure exactly how I want to go about doing that, though.

If I may ask...

Do you have plans for a penectomy in the future?

Was Dr. Kimmel hesitant to castrate you due to your relatively young age?

Are you taking any HRT? If so, is it estrogen or testosterone?

Dr kimmel doesn't seem too concerned with age, so long as the individual is aware of the decision and its consequences .

Although he DID sit me down and ask exactly WHY I wanted this done. I simply used the "reduce overactive libido", and "sex drive is ruining my life" arguement.

He didn't go too deep into this discussion; and simpy gave an "Ok, fine" sort of response.

THIS IS QUITE IMPORTANT, because you don't have to deal with the old, senile Dr Spector.

I actually told Spector I wanted my testicles stored , but this message was NOT passed on to Dr Kimmels' surgery . Halfway through the procedure, I reminded Dr Kimmel about this. He said "Oh, I've already thrown one in the bin!" DOH!

And, sadly such stories of mismanagment on Spectors behalf are not unique!

But on the HRT issue; I want to avoid this if I can , but I'm one of these people that'll probably suffer from hot flashes. If this happens, I certainly take estrogen supplements. (I would HATE to take testosterone ... after all this is my main reason for being cut)

I'm not interested in hacking off any other part of my body. But a few piercings could be cool

I can only say congrats to you both. I do admire guys that know at such a youthful age that they want to lose their balls and won't regret it. I have one comment on Chatterje's that one can only be castrated once. True. However, I have to add that I nonetheless feel so kewl every time I think about the fact that I no longer have balls, and this is over 2 years later. One can physically have his balls harvested only once, but he gets the privelege of living with it every day.

And at the risk of being considered a nagging Uncle, repeating the same things over and over again, I trust you have started your calcium supplements, 1,500 MG of calcium per day for the rest of your life. Also, a daily program of bone-stressing exercises. Avoiding alcohol, caffeine, smoking, and soft drinks with phosphoric acid. That when you get home you will ask your physician for a DEXA bone density scan to set up a baseline, with scans every other year as a follow up.

One of the consequences of castration is that it does put us at an increased risk of osteoporosis. But that is only an increased risk, it is not a certainty.

And by the way, outside the EA, I am an Uncle to four nieces and one nephew.

Thanks for posting and sharing with us. Glad you have at least one of your precious as a keep sake. Wow, to lose sex at such an early age. Yeah Baby. May you enjoy your new life to the fullest.

Please keep us posted on your recovery and adaptation process. Have your told your parents not to expect grandchildren from you? Now that is a burden you don't have to worry about.

Any thoughts as to how to incorporate your status into your life? Eunuchs in China and other places recieved high rank from the cutting. Lots of angles here as to how to make some cash on this. I'd say you are a good candidate for best baby sitter, no fears there. You could also rent your self out a sexless escort. No pressure at all for sex at the end of the night. Not to mentino the S/M scenes you could get yourself into. Heck, you can even write a book about your experiences. I say major best seller there.
