Darn right it is worth it. I feel at home here.
As a comment, this board seems to me the politest place on the web. I've posted what I thought were inocuous comments on other boards and the replies nearly set me on fire. I wonder what is special about this board. The eunuch calm perhaps? More intelligent and polite people? Or is strict moderation? Whatever - it works.

Seriously I agree this is one of the more polite and respectful sites on the web. My comments exclude of course the Political section. I have been attacked on the site I moderate. Attacking a mod is never a smart idea.
We have a forum called the Steel Cage which is for threads that become heated. Unless you want to get fired up you just stay out. We mods move threads there or members knowing it is a controversial subject. I wish people were as nice as they are here.

I think it is the lack of new stories which makes the lack of comments a bit self-inflicted. People tend to comment about new material.
I offered my help with the newer stuff to get a mix going as the older stories are restored, was told I would hear back, and thus far have not. *shrugs*
