Hello

Post by DDNEMOWIFE (imported) »

I just posted in Ladies and Gentlemen...

My husband and I are both 36, we have a 4 year old, we love each other, but his libido leaves him feeling frustrated. He has started thinking about physical castration as the answer. I'm not so sure. And while I don't want sex as much as he does, I do like sex, and can't really imagine being in a celibate marriage... I'm not sure if he'd really follow through with it or not, but right now he thinks its the answer to end his libido and his depression. I just want some insight from anyone who has been there.... Thanks.

Welcome. You've come to the right place. I have no insights to share as my hubby isn't into castration but rather fantasizes about having his penis cut off, but I do have one observation. According to your profile, your hubby thinks castration might help with depression. Postings by others here from time to time have noted that castration often actually increases depression. Others with direct experience might want to comment on that.

Have you suggested masturbation as a fill-in when you're not in the mood for sex and he is? Seems a lot less drastic.

Hi Sandi,

Thanks for the reply. I have warned DH that castration can cause depression for people, but he's convienced, (wrongly, IMO) that if his libido is gone, that he would no longer be depressed. I've asked him to really research, and talk to people who've done it.

He does masterbate, and we usually get busy once or twice a week... not enough...
