this is the only time that I wish the conservative "death panels" were a reality and that I could be on that one. :-). Otherwise my thoughts and concern for Cheney are zip. My guess is the time waiting was for a compatible heart, probably more to matching than checking blood type.

Thank you.

True, but his being a heartless bastard is no good reason for me to become the same.

2500 years ago the Buddha said:

'He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me,'--in those who harbour such thoughts hatred will never cease.

'He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me,'--in those who do not harbour such thoughts hatred will cease.

For hatred does not cease by hatred at any time: hatred ceases by love, this is an old rule.

Bishop Desmond Tutu is an incredible man and teacher. I love hearing him speak.

I could be wrong, but I am betting that he skipped the line big time. Don't like the man, never did, never will.

We all at times act in ways that are objectionable to somebody.

I never said that he deserved grace and compassion.

My point: how can we ask for grace and compassion for ourselves if we are unwilling to have the same for others?

Grace and compassion are Godly concepts. Therefore, let God show him grace and compassion after he dies, if he deserves it. As for me, I am of the opinion that he should have taken better care of the heart that he had when he was born.

Also, I don't care if he receives FIFTY hearts, NEVER GO HUNTING WITH THIS MAN!

It will, however give you ulcers and raise your blood pressure and shrivel your soul. Hatred burns its vessel far more than its object.

We forgive, not for the benefit of those we hate, but for the peace of our own soul.

Transward

That is a rather profound thought - praise to you!

Reputation for you.

;)

Alas, civility. I remember when.

I won't be dancing, I'll be pissing on it.

Yes, not very civil, but I don't feel much civility for the man who singlehandedly destroyed the US. Because of him we now have legalized torture, he led a raid on the US treasury to benefit his friends in Halliburton, and got us into an unnecessary war to make it all happen.

It's good to hear he finally has a heart. Too bad it formerly belonged to someone else as it would have been better if he had one all along.

Not everyone deserves it. I reserve my grace and compassion for those who've not done anything to show they are unworthy of it.

What would Jesus do?

The vitriol is just too much over a couple threads. Behavior way below our better angels. And we know it in the present tense.

Yes I like a good, mental discussion, probably more then most.

What can I say, I am sick and tired of reading, "hate"!

Yes, HATE!

The herd has no sense of shame when things just go too far!

Now anyone can make any rude or obscure or funny to them only upload. I will do my best to ignore it.
