Body Migraine

Post by moi621 (imported) »

I call it a body migraine. I know my mother and her mother had such episodes.

The headache component is mild to moderate, not incapacitating. And it is not pulsing more like a viral meningitis headache at its' worst. Pretty much the whole brain case, sparing the face.

The body component is more bothersome. The most recent started late Thursday or Friday AM and is like a loss of BP and limited standing time. Food may be craved but the gut just doesn't want much. Feeling cold. People notice I do not look good. Pale.

River, hello. I do not want or use alcohol or smoke at such times. It does not feel good.

Generally I ride it out and after a day or two, feel normal again. My usual near normal self as some say. Friday night I almost took some codiene #3 but it freezes up my gut so I just let it go.

I do not use kidney killing tylenol or aspirin that leaves me bruising for a week at minimal doses.

Can anyone relate to this idea of Body Migraine? I do not know the triggers but, they occur in Spring and Autumn season changes the most. It is like a migraine phenomena of the autonomic/automatic nervous system.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear that, Moi. I've never had a "Body Migraine" - all I get are the ordinary migraines that last 2-3 days.
