Intro...

Post by irrian (imported) »

Hi all

Is this the right place to do an intro as a new member? I've had some contact with a couple of people before by email (hi, Riverwind) but I've never yet posted, so here goes...

I'm 36, living for a while in Sydney, Australia, and I tend to identify as a gay man. I've never been particularly comfortable being male and, for about a year and a half, I was on a Gender Identity Program, which included significant use of female hormones.

This was great, and I felt very comfortable with the changes created. On the other hand, my partner had major problems and I also couldn't see that 'transition' to present as a woman was going to work (I'm pretty much bald and heavily built).

A few months ago I left the program. Since then, I've had major problems (largely in my head, it has to be said), dealing with the return of testosterone, and a very male sex drive... I no longer feel as calm, able to focus and concentrate on things. I'm also not comfortable with the return of body hair. I also gained a less welcome 10 kilos in weight (something like 22 pounds, I think) over the same period, which has been harder to displace.

Thankfully, I think, I've just got a prescription for Androcur from a local doctor. It's not a full dose: just a quarter of a 50mg tablet a day...

I have a couple of questions: what kinds of effects can I expect with this level of dosage? I guess that my testosterone level is either high or my body reacts strongly to it (hence the baldness and copious leg, arm and chest hair).

Being able to, er, perform is good for my relationship, but is there any happy and sustainable meeting point between too much testo and too little?

Please feel free to email me as well as post on the Board, and I'm particularly interested in talking with other people in the Sydney area...

Thanks
Paolo

Welcome Aboard,

I don't know enough about Androcur to know what type of effect that 12.5 mg will have.

As for finding the point between too much or too little testosterone is something that will vary between you and your partner.

For me I could go to both extremes. My preference is to find someone that like to cuddle, and snuggle than wanting sex all the time.

I believe I could handle someone with a normal to high sex drive, as I do enjoy playing with cocks and balls. However, the most important thing to me is finding someone with same interests, very open-minded and not extremely selfish.

Hi, people

Thanks for the welcome!

I've found it interesting that the very low dosage of Androcur seems to have made a significant difference... both physically and mentally. Maybe it'll be enough, we'll see. I'd rather try a low dose estrogen/androcur combo like Diane/Dianette - it'd be cheaper as well as easier to get hold of in a pharmacy.

Thanks Luvpain for the comments on snuggling. I'm pretty fortunate to have a bf who finds this important, too :)

Best wishes, Riverwind - sounds like you had a great couple of weeks :)
