I have been suffering from back pain the last 2 weeks as i have a ruptured disc injury from 20 years ago.This pain is very bad when I sit then stand up.
I remembered the last time I had this type of pain I took some viagra as my wife was feeling that way and the pain went away.I remembered that so I thought what the heck nothing to loose as the pain killers were not helping..I took half a 100mg pill and in a half hour all pain was gone.
Am I crazy or does this actually work...i took the viagra no sex...last time I thought the sex had something to do with it ...viagra no sex and my pain is completely wiped out..like a miracle...it took just 20 minutes to work
the viagra does leave me feeling very warm and my sinuses conjested

There might be some connection with blood flow. Maybe blood flow to your back is increased stopping your pain. Interesting. What a new use it would be! Viagra for back pain! It's already used for altitude sickness.
VIAGRA has been shown to safely treat ED in men who have certain other health conditions.
These conditions include:
High blood pressure
Heart disease
Diabetes
Depression
Spinal cord injury
Pulmonary hypertension
As well as erectile dysfunction, sildenafil citrate is also effective in the rare disease pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It relaxes the arterial wall, leading to decreased pulmonary arterial resistance and pressure. This, in turn, reduces the workload of the right ventricle of the heart and improves symptoms of right-sided heart failure. Because PDE-5 is primarily distributed within the arterial wall smooth muscle of the lungs and penis, sildenafil acts selectively in both these areas without inducing vasodilation in other areas of the body. Pfizer submitted an additional registration for sildenafil to the FDA, and sildenafil was approved for this indication in June 2005. The preparation is named Revatio, to avoid confusion with Viagra, and the 20-milligram tablets are white and round. Sildenafil joins bosentan and prostacyclin-based therapies for this condition.[6]

Viagra was initially developed as a drug for heart attack victims in that it specifically relaxed the type of muscle in the heart.
When the heart patients all started giggling about their erections, the doctors checked it out and sure enough, that muscle that shunts the blood flow into the penis was the same type as the one that beats in a human heart.

wow ...who knew...i wish i had much sooner
it is a day later and my back pain never came back...whatever the viagra did it cured the pain..this is the 3rd time it has done that..aal i can assume it allows the protruding disc to return to normal position

I have Fibromyalgia and as a result I suffer from chronic pain. One of the things I have noticed however is that even if my pain is really severe, if I become sexually aroused, my pain is greatly diminished. The downside is that once the erection is over, within 5-40 minutes, the pain will return. So I did a little investigation and what I found out is that when men or women become aroused their body produces endorphins, just like joggers and others. The idea is that nature built in a way that people would continue having sex, even if it were uncomfortable and even painful. If we quit having sex every time we had pain from a hard day of hunting wild animals or the hard physical work women must do in indigenous societies, we would be maladapted.
So either the same hormone that causes the erection causes the endorphins or the viagra itself causes those hormones to be released. In any event, many times when I am in severe pain, I will try to get and keep an erection until my pain meds kick in. My wife is very motivated in this regard and I have to credit her with figuring it out.
