I find this post disturbing. I am in no way squeemish about the wound . It is the soldier who is wounded that bothers me. This man was injured in the line of duty while serving for us. As strong as my interest in the subject of castration etc. I find this posting of his injury distastful. Unless we are studying his injury to learn how to treat it and other wounds like it what is its purpose here. No disrespect intended to you hash, just how i feel about it.

HoundDob, I agree with you that it is disturbing and I meant no disrespect, but as a veteran, I didn't post it to titillate anyone's interest in castration. I posted it to reveal the hellish nature of war and show the results of one poor soldiers terrible injury. Perhaps I should have stated that initially, for not doing that, I apologize. If our moderator agrees with you I would have no problem pulling this posting. It's very sad to realize that many soldiers will return home with horrible injuries that will scar them for life and prevent them from normal enjoyable sexual activity.

Just so you know, I served 9 1/2 years with the Army and Air Force. Served three years at Ft. Myer, Virginia with the Old Guard and 6 1/2 with the Air Force, last 4 in Germany with the 17th Air Force, Sembach GE. Worked for a two star and several F-15 Eagle drivers. Sembach actually had a lot of A-10's & OV 10's at that time, both ugly but rugged planes. Just wanted you to know that I'm very sympathetic when it comes to soldiers and airmen.

I agree, I understand where your coming from Hash, I to served 4 years in the Air Force then 3 more in the Army, I did it the other way around. I was all around South East Asia during the Nam war, last base Edwards That was boring for sure. Then Army reserves with a civilian job on base, in uniform every day.

I know one thing for sure, if you have been in the military overseas, been in a war, you are changed forever.
