Chemical vs physical castration.

Post by kyennamo (imported) »

Hi all. i have been on estrogen progesterone and 200 mg of spiro daily for a little over a year now. I was just wondering if anyone experienced physical castration after a period of chemical castration and what were the changes (if any) after the physical castration took place vs just the chemical. i have an orchi scheduled for february 10th and im starting to get a little nervous. I know its what is right for me but im starting to worry about possible changes that i may not be ready for. any info or shared experiences in this matter would help greatly. thank you

Keep in mind that these are strictly anecdotal changes and your mileage may differ. A number of trans women taking estrogen and blockers, after SRS or castration report a breast growth spurt. (Though in a couple of cases I think that was wishful thinking.) Another change occasionally reported is an increase in libido and ability to get an erection , (not for SRS patients obviously) Apparantly spiro can decrease T levels below normal female levels, and after you stop taking them after castration, your blood T levels may actually rise slightly. Otherwise effects are not different from a long course of spiro.

I never noticed any changes. I was on cyproterone acetate (siterone) and estrofem, and then I had myself surgically castrated and continues the estrofem and noticed no changes.
