Whats your opinion about translated storys?

Good evening to everybody,

In the last minutes I thought about the persons, which translate some of the english storys into german, for the user of this website, which english isn't the best one.

When there was still the old EA Fiction archive, many people wrote german storys or translate some others. I was very happy about this, because my english isn't the best one, too

So I want to ask some of the users here, whats your opinion about this translators:).

Is it a good idea to help others or is it just wasting of time.

From time to time, I've looked at posters' profiles and found that there are many here who are from countries where the principal language is something other than English. Many appear to speak German. So, no, I don't think it would be a waste of time to help by translating. I think the best translations are done by people whose native tongue is the target language. For example, I can translate from Spanish to English fairly well, but my translations from English to Spanish leave native speakers laughing, because my phrasing is awkward. If you'd like to try translating stories into German, I imagine other German speakers would appreciate it.

The stories that were translated were always read, so it is fine with us to do so.

I have written some stories in Spanish, but are the stories I have translated from English into Spanish.

I casually asked them a few days ago the edition of the same file in the new stories.

Likewise, I think you should try to leave the stories as much attached to the context of these and try to change as little as possible the meaning or story content.

however I totally agree on the translations of the stories.
