You might have difficulty finding it because it is listed as: Masterpiece Mystery!. When I search for "Sherlock" on zap2it or on my Dish DVR, I do not find the program.

I already watched it. I downloaded the episodes because I couldn't wait. So much better writing. So much more intellectually challenging. I still liked the movie. BBC knows the character better than Hollywood though.

"The Woman" as the dominatrix likes to be called, is easily Sherlock Holmes' equal in many respects... and she's real easy on the eyes.

I think Sherlock is smitten.

(side note: Benedict Cumberbatch was one of the spies in the latest adaptation of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

He's in War Horse and a number of other movies.

He will be KHAN in the next Star Trek and two characters in THE HOBBIT where you won't see his face.

If they want something to be a blockbuster, then they always strip out the more challenging and intellectual ideas from the films they produce. They don't seem to want to take a chance and possibly confuse the movie-going public with anything too heady.

Game of Shadows suffers from this a bit, but still manages to be clever and enjoyable to watch.

I honestly believe that had they been a bit more challenging and complex with the twists and turns, but kept up the action like they did, then this would go from simply a good movie, to a truly great movie.
Do you mean Hollywood is playing to their lowest common denominator? Perhaps to encompass as many movie-goers as possible?

I'm thinking maybe the BBC doesn't have to do this to make oodles of money, as Hollywood does..They take the more altruistic road...Art...smooches Jackie
