I am curious how long the testicles can be banded before serious irreversible damage is done? What happens when you take banding away and you have left them on too long, besides the obvious?

I have been banded several times for up to one hour. The pain is managable, but it is much worse after the band are removed. I needed help removing mine. They dig into your skin and can be hard to get scissors underneath them. I really had to beg before my partner helped me.

Your case may be different but anything over 90 miniutes and you are flirting with the point of no return. Two hours at most. Anything more and you may as well kiss 'em goodbye. Removing the band at this point may give you a fatal case of blood poisonoing. At that point there are three options.

1. Go to the hospital. By the time you get seen the doctors will have no choice but to finish what you started. You will be held for at least three days for psyceatric evaluation. Depending on the results you may be kept for some time. You will also be in for one hell of a hospital bill that insurance wil probably not cover.

2. Let 'em rot. The pain will be horrible for the first twelve hours or more. The rotting flesh will make a stink that no colone will cover. You will be at risk of infection until fully healed.

3. Cut 'em off. This will reduce the stink, but not the healing time (months) or risk of infection. If the band slips after your tesicles have been removed you could bleed heavily and would need to get to the hospital or call an ambulance.

Having said all that, you have or permision to band. I hope you enjoy it. Try not to enjoy it alone.

....It should be pointed out that some irreversible damage can occur instantly. I banded my hubby (with a rubber band, not an elastrator) and didn't leave it on long at all. The next day he had lumps in his scrotum, which increased in size over time. He finally went to a urologist, who said he had a spermatocele. It appears that I got the band too close to the testicles and pinched something that doesn't like to be pinched. The damage is not too serious--it didn't lower his libido, for example--but it does appear to be permanent, as the lumps have only grown larger over time.

Nerve damage can also be instantaneous, blood supply issues take longer

I banded for 18 hrs. cut off the nuts to close to the elastrator band and damm ...near bled to death, if you do this make sure it is safely away from the band. I called it an accident and got away with it. I am on hrt and am glad after it was all over I love the looks now ,my scrotum is 1/3 the size it use to be .every thing worked out for me LUCKLY!! be damm sure and do it as safe as possible....
