>>In the fevered nightmare of "Howard Stern to judge talent, yeah, right, sure, pigs can fly too" yes, he's coming back to TV in an effort to create even dumber followers and more ignorant viewers.
>>I can't decide if this is a sure sign of the death of all things cultural or simply the ghost of the long dead Newton Minnow haunting the world of TV. Or possibly the gladiatorial games of Rome without the entertainment value.
>>Howard Stern is the vulgar version of Donald Trump. Stern is wiling to to anything expose-like sexually demeaning and filthy, disgusting in public and he does it for money. So he's going to judge real talent?
>>Seriously folks, You've got to be kidding...

A little over a month ago, Piers Morgan announced he was giving up his role as judge on America’s Got Talent to focus more on his CNN talk show. A few days later, rumors began swirling that Howard Stern might replace him. Early Thursday morning, the move became official, as Stern announced the move on his SiriusXM radio show, also noting that America’s Got Talent will move its home base from Los Angeles to New York to accommodate him. NBC confirmed the move shortly thereafter in a statement:
“Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to ‘America’s Got Talent’ starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”
Hal Boedeker of the Orlando Sentinel, among the first to report the news, also noted that Stern’s longtime sidekick, Robin Quivers said on air that she hates America’s Got Talent, but will support Stern in his new endeavor.

No YOU have to be kidding. From what you've written it seems clear to me you know less than nothing about Howard Stern or his show, let alone his millions of followers. You are just one more reactionary ignorant ranting about the man, who is actually quite intelligent and insightful if you ever bothered to learn anything about him or his many accomplishments and of course were bright enough to actually get his jokes or appreciate his talents. But I don't fault you for that, I hated the man for many years simply due to his reputation with the little old ladies that ran about freaking out because he talked about poop and boobies and said words like vagina and penis. Then I had to sit and listen for a while, and the longer I did the more I got it. He is nothing like you've described, and maybe you should watch the show before making extremely ill-founded judgments.

I'm a little more sophisticated than being offended by fuck, shit, piss, vagina, penis, whore and all the rest of those words and Stern's treatment of sexual matters...
I know lots about Stern and I have his book. I think he's never grown up from the snickering, leering and immature little boy that he perpetuates as his on air persona.
The show picked him because people will watch for his "witticisms" and remarks and I have no doubt he'll be rude, crude and ignorant. That's not my idea of entertainment. They are losing in the ratings to their competition and need a boost.
Don't take it personally. There's lots of movies and TV comments I make that start out with "Dave Craps On XXX" and it's only for enjoyment. If you don't agree, stay calm because most of those movies and shows someone dislikes. All the time...
And I came back to add: None of this is aimed at anyone on the EA. I just don't like Howard Stern anymore and my reaction was to crap all over him.
