Great song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=timfvNgr_Q4), I found it quite funny.

OF course, that doesn't really help when your tap water is on fire....

If that were true, how can you explain G. W. Bush's phenomenal career as an oilman?

Technology has changed dramaticaly since the 70's. As far as well fracturing goes, it is often done 2-5 miles below the water table so it rarely interferes with well water. People never point out that in many instances, local groundwater is contaminated by the natural seepage of shallow petroleum deposits. Fracking dramatically increasws the yield from underground reservoirs and other technologies reduce the amount of wells drilled and or well sites.

Oil companies waste natural gas and export refined product like crazy so they can raise gasoline and diesel prices thru the roof and destroy the economy

I drive a volt so my fuel prices went down as of january 1st ..... pge lowered our rates and i am paying less for electricity because the methane the turbines burn to make electricity is dirt cheap.

Gasoline prices yesterday in town were 3.99

Diesel to the farm cost me 3.55...high fuel prices and fertilizer will force me to let marginal fields lay unplanted because it wont pay to plant and harvest.

That will cause a shortage of food and raise food prices again

It a viscous cycle

The economy will probably go to hell to boot.

I am going to join a local occupy group and protest a gas station.

Using the Natural Gas Model

Gasoline prices are not high from a true shortage,

but a created one. Not to mention $.40/gallon to speculators.

Why "Drill Baby Drill" when the industry appears to want to sip, sip, sip?

I know sipping says your get more per well. Really?

Remember artificially inflated Natural Gas prices. Production is currently curtailed to hold the price up.

No one is going to pump natural gas at a net loss. Who is being protected? ;)

Where is the Walmart of Natural Gas production?
