Page Not Found and MySQL errors are symptoms of the problems the server is experiencing. It's the entire BMEworld server that hosts the Archive, not just the Archive specifically.

As an aside we have a new 404 error page thanks to talula ... one that shows up if you type a page url wrong or something.

Try going to http://www.eunuch.org/index999.php (not a real page!) to see it.

Again, Saturday evening of 24 August, at 6:1

5 PM, I reached the home page. Clicking on the left hand side of the page for the link to the message board gave me an all-blue screen and little else. So I backed out, and hit the message board link under the number of people who had posted in the last 24 hours, and that link worked.

The plain indices (plainarchive.html and plainnewfiles.html) seem to have disappeared.
