In running trans support groups for years, I have heard trans girls report sex hormones beginning to work even before they began taking them. (One had quite a few articles detailing how behavior and emotions can affect hormone levels. She believed the decision to transition by itself affected her hormones), so yes it could have affected you. Was it the physiological effects of the spiro? Probably not. But sex hormones are some of the most potent placebos known. A fact that has kept the sale of aphrodisiacs going for centuries. If you expect the spiro to affect you, the placebo effect will probably start working before the drug itself.
Okay, here is another update: I masturbate less than usual now and I also think my erections might have got a little weaker. But the most I experience is the scent when I have to pee. One can smell the spiro, it's not very cool Will this become better?
I can feel my libido drop more than the lowering of my ability to get an erection.... I would love it more if it was the other way.... Can anyone propose something better than spiro for my purpose?
However I will continue my experiment, I just want to get to this point of becoming nearly impotent.... Do you think the dosage is high enough to achieve this.... Maybe I should go up, but I don't want to do my body serious harm.....
If I understand correctly, you started with 50mg twice daily right? That dose may be okay initially, but from forums here on EA and other sites, it appears that the typical dose is upward of 100mg twice daily. Some sites even recommend between 200mg and 400mg daily in total. Do not mistake my input as a suggestion for you though, please do your own research on this subject.
Regarding your point about the Spiro smell, I do definitely agree. It has a strange smell right out of the bottle, but has a very distinct smell that is transferred through urine as I can attest.
I ordered my initial prescription from Inhousepharmacy on 01DEC and it arrived 09DEC, and I immediately took my first dose of 50mg. Each tablet is 100mg but personally I intend to gradually build up to the "recommended" dose after 7 days. Frequency of urination increased dramatically for me even on the first day, and obviously it's too early to observe any other indications or benefits. In response to this, I've also drastically increased my water intake to compensate for any loss as a result of this medication. Hydration is very important to your physiological processes and functions and many people don't realize how much water a person needs (even in the winter months).

The odd smell and frequent urination should become better over time. As for erections getting weaker before libido takes a hit - you can't influence timing on purpose but before I wen fulltime on hrt I did a few trials and although I never got totally impotent when I stopped taking the meds my libido came back faster as my physical abiltiy to get a strong erection.
Will this become better?
