Re: Share Personal Epiphanies Here
The biggest personal epiphany I've ever had was the realization when I was about 12-years old that I needed to have my testicles removed. It took another 23 years for it to happen, and I've felt more comfortable in my body since. As a result I'm a much happier person.
A close second was the moment I realized that employees in a business mean nothing more to that business than the walls, furniture, or other tools of business. At that point my sense of being loyal to a company, feeling like I'm part of a family, etc. went out the window. Simply one of the most honest and sincere revelations I've ever had. I no longer feel loyal to any company and given the current environment I feel justified in that view. I'm simply there to perform a function and go home. I no longer bust my ass WITHOUT compensation. If they want my time and labor, the will be paying me. I don't work for free.
I've yet to have any other epiphanies like that, but I hope to some day. It was a major life improvement when I followed through on them.

Yep, I also have had both of those, and feel the same way you do, today I am working on the barter system or favor for a favor system, it works wonderful.

That's what the drunk said when the cop asked him why he was laying in the gutter...

"My neighbors are in the dark. I have light".
What a realization. An epiphatude.
But, y'see my neighborhood just lost power. Why? I do not know. Street lamps, homes, shopping mall off in the distance, so very dark.
Then my natural gas powered generator came on as programmed.
Yeah! Hurray!
I bathe in photons at 10:30PM while "they" know a paleolithic world.
I am so very advanced y'see.
PM interest in kissing my ring.

Even though I live out in the country, and I am set up for power outages, it rarely happens and if it does its back on in seconds. I would have to come to the conclusion that we have a better power grid then you do, poor rural Wisconsin better then the twinkle lights of the Megalopolis of Southern California.

Life is a hard struggle.
Then you die.
The end.
A truism or what? And I figured it out myself.

I turned 65 today, I hurt mostly all over every day, my feet are killing me, I am a bit over weight, (ok I am fat) but you know, this is much better then the alternative.
