ALAMEDA, Calif. Once again, the world failed to end, despite a high-profile prediction from a radio preacher in California.
Harold Camping, the 90-year-old leader of Family Radio International, stirred a global frenzy when he predicted that the Rapture would take 200 million Christians to heaven on May 21. When the Rapture didn't occur, Camping said he got his Bible-based calculations wrong and revised his prophecy to set the world's end on Friday, Oct. 21.
But as the day wore on around the world, there was no sign that doomsday had dawned.

Re: OH RATS! the world ended again
Guess I need to go buy food, and to think I almost had a turkey dinner in haven, but maybe it did happen and we just have not found out yet.
You know the Bible says he will come like a thief in the night, it may have happened, and we did not cut the mustard.
Sigh,
Now what?
PARTY TIME
But if anybody sees some of these televangelists or other bible waving religious thumping people on the news or in person, well maybe they missed it too?
I guess the only way to know for sure is to ask our own SAG, if he is still around it did not happen.

Re: OH RATS! the world ended again
I just finished a book called "leftovers". About people left on the earth after a possible rapture took place. Decent book. Easy read. Get if from the library, don't buy it though. Being made into an HBO series for those who are book challanged.

Damn. I keep hoping the world will end so I can get a day off and sleep in. They keep promising, but tommorow just seems to keep coming. Can I sue for breach of contract?

You are right Riverwind. No one knows the hour or the time when the Lord will return for his own. So Camping or any other Scholar giving a date is worthless information. It can be at any time.. Everything is ready now, it is just a matter of God says enough is enough.. That could be tomorrow or 2000 years from now.

Even so, God, come soon. I cannot stand taking the chance of another STUPID REPUBLICAN getting elected U.S. President...
