I'm chinese, i don't know wtf moi is on about cultural tolerance, but the chinese don't have a culture of chopping off penises as a punishment for infidelity.

The lady is from vietnam, although her mandarin seems pretty good. However southeast asia does not have a culture of chopping penises off as a punishment for infidelity either, certainly not if you're using the proper definition for culture. The rise of penectomy as revenge is a fairly recent phenomenon in thailand, which given the proximity of vietnam, might be where this lady picked up the idea from, but I cannot stress enough this is not ingrained in southeast asian culture. What allows me to say so? I was born and grew up in southeast asia.

Personally, the guy seems to be an asshole, so do I think he deserves it? Yes. Please be aware however, any attempt to point this out as a cultural practice and hence invoke cultural tolerance(which itself is a moronic concept) is full of bullshit.

You know what is alarming here. The Taiwan media published the full name of the victim, together with his photo on a keychain. Now everyone knows he is dickless.

If I were dickless I certainly will want to get to choose who gets the knowledge.

Thank you, "thepenectomized". That makes it twice as hot. Yes I love her animation and graphic "snipping" portrayal. She's a natural. I would make her the High Sexecutioner and pay her plenty to do the job, if I was in charge of a mythical country where anything (I say) goes. All sex crimes against women would have one outcome. Alas it's hard to find countries like that nowadays, with all this "democracy" fever sweeping the world. One can only dream.

And if I was in charge anyone who is superficial or sex-obsessed would face execution. So maybe you should thank your lucky stars for this "democracy" fever huh?

So I heard - I think in here - that it was reasonably common in China for a husband to get castrated when his wife passes menopause so he is not tempted. I suppose you are going to tell that that is a bunch of hooey also.

I think people don't understand statistics very well. About a third of the world's population is in East and SouthEast Asia. A dozen stories a year out of 2 billion people doesn't make something common. But it is just the effect of modern media. It is like how you hear about all these female teachers now who sexually abuse students in the US, there is a story almost every week. However, if you do the math it is something like one in every 500000 teachers doing something like that. Something on the news once per week does not actually mean it is common, but it sure seems like that.

However, I will say that while the overall act is still pretty uncommon, Vietnam and Thailand do seem to have the larger share of the stories. They are still very rare (couple women out of many million people).

nd Thailand seeming to have the larger share of the stories, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. Once you get a few reports and the impression that it's a common thing going, then people start to pay more attention to stuff like that happening and report it in the news.
