Fiction Archive
Sorry, my question may be not so technical but I found no better place to post it. The question is what happened to the fiction archive? I haven't been heer for nearly a year or so... and found out that not only it requires registration to read stories but all in all archive become worse! There is no search at all (i mean search by words, not tags) anymore... and some stories (good stories indeed) are missing... so, what happened?

Read the many posts. You would, had you done so, have found that the story archive is in process of being rebuilt. It will take at least a year to reformat all the stories. The operating software is still being written. Patience.

Re: Fiction Archive
I miss the fiction archive and don't know how to register to read it. I am an author who has published on it in the past but cannot access it now. What gives?
Re: Fiction Archive
Sometimes, I just want to throw my hands in the air and just give up.
Do we have to come to your house and do it for you, or did you just get the computer out of the box?

Re: Fiction Archive
I have registered on many sites and forums in my life (including this
) but I can't enter the fiction archive with my password from this forum. It just does not work but it suggests that it should do.
I am using firefox.

Re: Fiction Archive
When we were in the testing phase we tried a lot of different options for getting into the Fiction Archive.
I personally tried;
Firefox 6, and Firefox 8
Internet Explorer 5, 8, and 9
Google Chrome
Safari
I tried from my netbook, my desktop, my iPad, and from my work computer. (don't tell my boss) My work computer uses Windows 98 and Windows 2000, depending which screen I am in, and operates with Internet Explorer 5.
No matter what I tried, it was easy access to the Archive. It was the same for all our other testers.
The only thing I can think of, is that you have some weird Add-Ons installed on Firefox. Probably something like Greasemonkey, or are using some sort of IP masking tool.
All I can recommend is that you disable any goofy Add-Ons, and update your browser to the latest version. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.
Good Luck!

Re: Fiction Archive
The biggest "problem" add-ons, if you don't know how to use them, are AdBlock+ and NoScript. You have to give the domain of "eunuch.org" whitelist rights with these add-ons.
You also have to allow the cookies.
I have no other idea what the problem could be.

Re: Fiction Archive
Bifibifi has posted his solution to the problem on a different thread. Here it is, copied and pasted to where it belongs:
By copying and pasting http://eunuchworld.org/s_index.php it worked.
For those still struggling to get in, see if that solution works for you.

Re: Fiction Archive
Is it possible that there is a login problem because of the "ü" in my name? Do I have to use a different name?
