I found this on the web about a soldier who had his dick blown off but still has great sex.

http://www.ic-network.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31014

This was a true story told by a sex therapist and doctor from the UCSF Medical School who came to our IC support group meeting back in 1996. He told the story of a couple who had a sex life that he, frankly, envied. They were loving, compassionate, and completely sexually fulfilled. Yet, there was a shocking twist. The man had been in Vietnam and had suffered a horrific groin/shrapnel injury that had destroyed his penis. It was amputated and he returned home with an injury that most men fear.

So, how can a man without a penis have an amazing sex life that other men who were physically intact envied?? It was all about experimentation. The couple loved each dearly and decided to explore their sexuality in new ways, eventually finding TANTRIC SEX.

What's tantric sex? Imagine getting to that point right before orgasm where everything feels so amazing. We're lucky if we're at that point for, what, a few minutes? Now, imagine staying there for an hour. The goal of tantric sex is to get your partner to that point of bliss through "outercourse" (i.e. stroking, touching, etc. etc.) and to then keep them there for a sustained period of time. If intercourse/penetration/orgasm happens, fine. If it doesn't, fine. Tantric sex is mindblowingly fun, fulfilling and satisfying. REALLY!

I read a short while back that usually the first question asked when the wounded soldier wakes up

in the hospital (if he cannot reach down there and feel for himself) is in realtion as to if he still has his

penis and testicles. Without legs or arms, a guy can still have sex and can take comfort that he can still

be a man in bed. :dong:

Anything that disrupts normal physical functioning can be emotionally shattering. Personal identity is tied up with one's body. Violate the integrity of the body, and the self is violated. Suicidal thoughts can follow. Six years ago, an emergency tracheotomy left me with the possibility of spending the rest of my life breathing through a machine. I became suicidal. I eventually healed and resumed normal life, but now I know that "normal life" is a privilege. Unintended castration in war must be like that. I can only be sympathetic.

"In many cases, the force of the explosion also travels straight up into your genital and pelvic area, blasting tiny shards of rock and dirt into your torso between your front and rear Kevlar body-armor flaps," Drury continued. "If all or part of your 'package' is not blown off by the detonation itself, the flying debris from the blast often penetrates soft tissue, leaving you vulnerable to penile, scrotal, testicular, and rectal infections. If the damage is bad enough, it could even lead to a full or partial amputation of your genitals."

"The number of severe genital wounds has tripled," Drury reports, "causing Pentagon and Department of Veterans Affairs official to scramble to review insurance packages that assess, for instance, the value of a severed thumb at $50,000 but assign no dollar value on damage to a penis or testicles," although the affected person "may receive disability payments for a genital injury, if the VA deems it serious enough."

"You can't get your legs blown off without suffering genital and/or perineum injuries," says Glaser. And accompanying these kinds of injuries are infections. And then there's the questions about these injuries are to be treated. "Take testosterone," Glaser said. "You need it. For maintaining muscle mass. For sexual desire. A lot of these kids with damaged or lost testicles are looking at a lifetime of hormone treatments. Yet each patient has different dosage needs. How much should you give them? Well, we're still trying to figure that out."

Just saw on the news yesterday a local Marine stepped on an IED and lost both legs just below the waist and part of his right hand.

They did not mention his genitals, but "just below the waist" gives a good indication his penis and balls are gone too.

We need to get the guys back here before more come home 3 feet tall and sexless.

OMG. Was this a gunshot wound? Looks like it could be. The remaining one testicle would keep his manly desire active,

but the damage to his penis blood chambers will most likely be the end of his erections.

As bad as he looks between the legs, he is better off than some others that lost more.
