Getting shot in the groin has to suck beyond all imagining. So too must getting shot anywhere else, let alone places where you can’t cinch a tourniquet. The CRoC, or Combat Ready Clamp, gives your bleeding hard-to-reach spots the pressure they need.

The CRoC was designed with military personnel primarily in mind, because they’re the one who’d likely have to worry about getting shot in awkward places. But the device works for any part of the body where it would be difficult or impractical to apply a tourniquet, like the chest, abdomen or neck. As for the average consumer, maybe you just got mugged near your house. Or you have a really deep shaving injury. Either way, this could save your life.

I have read that some Chopper crew members in Vietnam sat on their flack jackets to help prevent bullets fired from below from hitting them

between the balls and anus. Now that would be a shot that would ruin ones day.

Also in Nam and other wars, soldiers would sit on their helmets while riding in trucks and other transports for the same reason. A land mine exploding under the truck and your gennitals go bang bang too.

I read an article recently of the rise of amputations and genital injuries amoung soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan.

It mentioned a "secret pact" among the soldiers that if one of them suffered severe genital injuries such as

the loss of their penis and or castration, they let the man die rather than go home in such a condition. One counselor

mentioned that most of the injured would suffer with their wounds for perhaps 60 years or more and the moral of the soldiers was

low thinking about enduring genital or limb amputations.
