I would have them in my mid to late teens but none since castration. Maybe it is because without T I am happier now and see no reason to venture out?

I have done this a couple times in the past, very strange experience and one that you should have a guide.

Or perhaps wandered here from the "weed world" thread.

What do you all call an out of body experience?

I know stuff I could not logically know, like within ten seconds of a phone call telling a friend they need to see a Urologist for a stone.

<ring ring>

"Hey xyz, I need ". . . . < interrupted by the word, "need">

Moi, "you need to see a urologist".

<spooky huh>

Moi

I do believe it ghosts. I do believe in ghosts

BTW Peyote is very, very, in-body to me. When I took a walk under the influence of Peyote buttons, it took more effort to turn around and head home then to just keep on going. I could understand how intoxicated Yaqui Indians could run across the desert, seemingly immune to heat and thirst of the desert. I have had three Peyote button experience, years apart decades ago.

I used to meditate quite a lot, back when my mood swings were pretty bad. Had a few OBEs. Some were amazing. One of those moments still sticks with me, a complete moment of pure calm. It still defies description.

Some experiences were very disturbing, and scared the crap out of me. The mind is a very powerful thing and won't hesitate to mess with you if you are unprepared.

Having a guide (someone to be there with you and guide your meditation) is a very good idea. Failing that, have a good recording of a meditation session that you can play. Train yourself to end your meditation when the recording stops. This will also save you the embarrassment of coming out of your meditation, to realize you've missed an important appointment, or forgotten to sleep. (Contrary to some belief, meditation does not replace sleep. You still need a good eight hours.)

Do not meditate to an MP3 player on shuffle. Your meditation and possible OBE will be severely damaged when Metallica or Slipknot unexpectedly comes on. Your subconscious will have fun, YOU won't.

Bottom line, if you are going to meditate in search of an out of body experience, have a plan. It is an exploration, but you should still be prepared and think ahead. It is nice to explore, but only when you know where you are, and don't get lost.

I sound all new wave, writing like this. I'm really very practical. An OBE is just a very intense mental experience. It is more than a dream, but not supernatural. With anything real, there are risks. Your mind is very powerful, and you should respect it. You may discover things about yourself, that you are not ready to. Be cautious, and have a plan.

How true, like I said use a guide.

The thing that sticks with me the most was looking down at myself and the smells.
