I was castrated by Dr Arnkoff on February 4th and am very happy with the results. (I guess I am going to have to change my user name )

I highly recommend Dr Arnkoff vs going to a cutter or non physician. The entire procedure took about an hour. Three weeks later the ends of the cords are still swollen a bit, but have gone down quite a bit in the last week. The last of the dissolvable stitches came out last night.

In about six months, I am going to go back to have the scrotum removed.

My husband and I are very happy with the results and highly recommend Dr Arnkoff.

I was also castrated by Dr A in March, just wondering if he told you the recovery time for having the scrotum removed, or is it about the same as the castration. If everything goes as planned I would like to have that second procedure done in 6 months as well.

I'm so glad to find out getting an orchie is available at such a reasonable cost. Now my only concern is finding the time to schedule the procedure. Hope he's in no hurry to retire anytime soon. A great big thank you to everyone that have provided such valuable information!!

I understand Dr. Arnkoff charges $2000 for the orchie (altho I saw someone post that it might have gone up to $2300.) And I know he chooses to do the scrotum removal after a min of 4 to 6 months of healing post-orchie. Scarnick, may I ask what he charges for the scrotum removal?

I had my scrotectomy done at a local Plastic Surgeon. No travel and a lot lower cost. Just call around in the area you live. Remember, it is only skin removal...that is what plastic surgeons do.

The scrotum removal was also $2300 - his fees went up March 1st. He told be that if I wanted more removed after it healed, he would do it at no cost.

Curious about the recovery time. Is it about the same as the castration or a bit longer? I was full recovered from the castration he did in about 6 weeks. and no scar or anything. he did a great job
