Kindly STOP screaming with all the capital letters. It is very annoying and generally considered rude.

Tomorrow will be the end of my last year with my balls. On the 28th of January Dr Arnkoff will remove them....and I will really celebrate a new year. It has seemed a bit like a child waiting on Christmas to arrive.....the days seem to move so slowly.

Re: dr arnkoff new website
It is very nice to see at least one doctor offer this service. Like someone said, there needs to be one in every state.
That said, I have been talking to a doctor in Mexico I finally met during my last vacation that has really impressed me (he speaks perfect English). He explained everything to me (it was a free class if nothing else) about the effects, types of surgery, how the "cutters" usually do it (he said there are some good ones, but none that know enough detail to do a perfect job), etc. He said he has been working on a book about underground medicine ("cutting", abortion, etc) and this is why he was on another website where I originally met him.
However, he is not a specialist. He is a general doctor that right now is in a rural clinic. I really have to ask how "specialized" does a doctor need to be to castrate? This guy does deliveries, emergency med (drug overdose, lots of sewing from accidents, old patients), etc. When I was there, I got to see him cut out and close an old wound on 91-year-old patient that never healed. It was impressive.
My question is would you trust a general doctor, even though he has a lot of general surgical experience? He said he would cut me, but is not something he would want to advertise. He said the supplies would be less than $150, about $250 for labs (blood type, blood clotting factors, general blood test, etc), and $750 for him to actually do it. He has been able to give me detailed answers to every question, so I think he is probably my best option. What are your opinions?

He IS a doctor...and , as such, should be able to perfomr this surgery...As I understand it, it is fairly simple (Not being a surgeon, myself)..He seems to adhere to basic cleanliness/sterility, I would assume. Infection might be the main concern...and aftercare...But..A nice warm place...a nice room...a few cocktails..an orchiechtomy...what's not to like..hehe Good luck Jackie

I certainly think it is a valid option. There are multiple choices one can make from do it yourself (and a trip to the ER) to various cutters and higher risk scene environments. All the way to trips to Thailand with plenty of choices there, or very over priced and protocol demanding U.S. SRS surgeons. But for me of all the options that have become available over the years I think DR A is pretty much in the sweet spot. His price though not cheap but is fair and attainable. He is still in his prime in terms of age and ability. He is not merely a Dr. but a urologist, with years of practice under his belt dealing with just this specialty. He has most likely seen virtually every possible complication and dealt with them. Yes he may not have the best bedside manner, but he is to the point and confident in that way you want in a surgeon. For me one of the more telling aspects is that he does the procedure in less then an hour. As a surgeon you seek to do the job both safely and expediently. Speed only comes with proficiency. Although it might be nice to have a more interesting experience, for me it is about result and safety. Thus once the coffers are filled he will be doing my orchi. Of course this is just my opinion we all walk different paths.

My answer would be yes, in case you are healthy (probability of complications is low).

Actually, you should really be asking "do you trust a Mexican doctor who seems interested in performing the operation despite not being qualified". I would answer NO.
First of all, never be impressed just because someone is a "doctor". First of all, there are lots of people who have faked being doctors. Also, some doctors were the bottom of their class. Furthermore, some doctors are really bad and get their licences revoked (and sometimes go on to continue practicing then getting into more trouble). Finally, some doctors get old and their skill goes downhill (i.e. Spector).
Secondly, it is against the doctor's professional code to practice disciplines that they are not certified for. I would be suspicious/skeptical of any professional that does this (you want an electrical engineer to design a bridge, or want a civil engineer to design your pace-maker?).
Thirdly, I wouldn't ever do something so risky in any foreign country, particularly one where the rule of law is so sketchy. In the US if something goes wrong, at least you can sue, get proper police actions and criminal complaints pursued, etc. In Mexico you have absolutely no recourse. I had a friend who was hit by a car in Cancun and the police weren't even interested in finding out who hit him. I've been in many situations where I had to bribe police in Mexico just to get them to not hassle me! The judges are just as bad there. And the jails are really bad.
Since Dr. Arkoff is now legitimately available in the US, there is no excuse to go to Mexico for an uncertified practitioner. If being castrated is so important to you, then even if money is difficult I'm sure you can save up $3k over a couple years and do it right.
Just to really drive the point home, please read the story of Dr. John Ronald Brown who was an actual doctor, actually did castrations, and horribly botched them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ronald_Brown
