Some say Sunbursts and Pips are gone forever yet I just gave one pip wksjake8 a reputation tag and he now has eleven pips, some looking a bit yellow.

You're seeing the standard vBulletin reputation points. You get one line of rep pips and that's it. The sunbursts were through a third party program that isn't applicable to this version of vBulletin. Of course, smoke a little more weed, and YOU might be able to see them.

A couple more have responded without uploading but, there is no apparent change except in my settings.

Still I uplifted one member to a full count with a reputation tag under the current system.

Rep points, if you have 10 rep points and you give me rep and I have ten points, I would get maybe 1, if you give me points and I have 10,000 I would most likely not even see it, but if I gave you points and I had 10,000 and you had 10 you would get like 1000, you see it has to do with how many you have and how many I have, this can be reset to extend it out, but why? It is also set so you must pass points around before giving the same person points again. As Slammr said, the stars were an add-on which did not work on this release of VBulletin, which is always a problem when a new release comes out you not only need to update that release but all the add-on s as well, best not to use them in the first place.

OK the rep tags are set by the boss, you can have as many heading as you want, and as many points added to each that makes sense. They can be set up so you only get a green bar after 100k points, it would take a while for someone to actually get to the end of the line.

But its really just a pain in the butt. The stars were cute but the guy who did it has not written if for this version of VB so there gone and I say they should never return. They are just a pain in the ass.

As a matter of fact, I am not so sure that the points system as a whole should not just be turned off and to hell with it, what do you think Moi????
