I'm more interested in hearing about how or if the Fiction Archive can come back.

Good ideas for the return of the Fiction Archive (or not) are still welcome. Please let's keeps the focus of this thread on that.

assumes that the fiction archive histories, are stories of fiction, as are the contitution I think that not just USA but Mexico, Canada and other countries. Protect the right of such expression, dislikes whom he disliked, now with the issue of minors, I believe that protagonists more than 15 years do not believe there would be problems.

As I do not agree with is any kind of censorship, so I ask not forgiveness I mean demand that please come back the Fiction Archive

I think you might be giving that particular group of people too much credit for this. They didn't seem the sort with ability to do what happened.

Looking at it from the perspective of revenge casts a different legal light on it, IMHO. If no 'legitimate' complaint was made, how and why did the DNS? do what they did? ...and, would they think again when shown evidence of somebody manipulating them?

I think this thread has gone about as far as it could for the topic that needed addressing.

There were some good arguments posted here for returning the stories. Options I hadn't even thought about. It was very informative. I don't think there will be much more of value to add now that the topic has shifted to laying blame.

I don't know why, but I am always disappointed by the internet, and its ability to miss the point, or transform a subject and derail itself.

I'm still hoping to see some more suggestions and ideas about the future of the EA and how or if stories should be included, but I doubt it will come from this thread. It makes me sad. I invested so much of my time here. I hope we have what we need from this thread for the decision at MoM. After all, that's what this was all about.

Thanks to everyone who added to the dialog. For everyone who spoke from the heart, and educated me technically, I thank you. To those who signed up to the EA just to post here, I especially thank-you. It takes a leap of bravery to venture into this hornet's nest and share your inner thoughts. Everyone's input was greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone and their assorted views.

So many people have been affected by the Fiction Archive in so many different ways. Some condemned it. Some praised it. All views were valid.

Anyone know how much bandwidth the site is using currently as opposed to when the stories were online?

Bandwidth used:

June 2011: 10.6 gigs per day

July 2011: 1.6 gigs per day

Aug 2011: 1.7 gigs per day

Note that July and August are partial months.

Wow, an 85% drop in traffic. I think that is a compelling story, the thought and reason I'll leave for you to decide since I no longer offer any opinions.
